Hellblade To Run at 1440P on PS4 Pro; 4K@60 on PC To Require an "Absolute Beast", Says Ninja Theory

Ninja Theory confirmed that Hellblade will run at 1440P on PS4 Pro when selecting enhanced resolution. Playing the game at 4K@60FPS apparently requires a "beast" of a PC.

HDR won't be in at launch but could be added later.

Maybe a lot of people will disagree with me , but some time I think 30 FPS is better only for the cinematic games such as Uncharted and The order in other hand 60 FPS is better for the games witch focus on action and shooter like Doom and Cod .. and other.

But still the PC have the advance ( for those who have powerful PC )

The PS4 Pro is an overclock OG PS4. For $400.00 plus tax for something that PC gamers do for free that is a rip off.

No its not. It features twice the number of compute units on the actual die all running at a higher clock. In reality. The 2.3x TFlops increase cannot practically be achieved through overclocking alone. If you overclocked the GPU in the OG GPU that much, it would burst into an ocean of flames... fortunately, the power supply would give out first maybe sparing your life.

FREE? how? you do know that the GPU used in the Pros is not the same as the GPU in the original PS4, right? the Pro uses a whole new GPU with a slightly overclocked CPU. so, could you please tell us again how do you change your GPU on your PC for FREE?

The minimum requirements state a GPU of a gtx 770. The standard ps4 has something along the lines of a 750ti. If just the MINIMUM requirements are a GPU that on PC outputs over twice the performance in benchmarks, then I can only imagine what the recommended specs are and what you would need to run 4K at 60fps

Sorry but no. 1080 @ 60fps and 1440p @ 30fps. I was trying to decide on PC or PS4 pro and decided on PC but now maybe the Pro version would have been a good choice too. 1440p and 30fps for a game of this type would be awesome I think.

Have you ever heard of NiOh? Nioh feat the "Action" mode a 60fps mode which the base resolution is 1080p on Pro. This resolution goes all the way down to 720p on the PS4 Pro on rare more demanding scenes in order to maintain 60fps which is not locked! Now, bare in mind that in the "Movie" mode which prioritize resolution. The base resolution is dynamic 4K (2160p) 30fps which goes all way down 1296p in order to maintain 30fps on more demanding parts of the game.

Now, Hellblade´s base resolution and framerate is 1440p (78% boost over 1080p) 30fps on PS4 Pro. That said, i gotta ask: How much do you think it´s gonna take to Ninja Theory achieve LOCKED 60fps on Pro?

So no, i´m not trolling! Ninja Theory probably will go down with dynamic 1080p unlocked 60fps. They also can go with 900p or in a last case scenario 720p to achieve LOCKED 60fps!

I´m telling you now, in no way Ninja Theory will achieve native 1080p and LOCKED 60fps on Pro. Mark my Words!

That´s exactly what is happening! Even PS1/PS2 remasters like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age are running at 1440p on Pro! The dlc Uncharted: Lost Legacy is also running at 1440p! Do your research!

@LP in your eyes it makes sense to pay $100 upgrade for a PS4 Pro knowing that the only guarantee is that the games will play at native 1440p which is a notch up from the Base PS4 1080p? Exclusives and 3rd party games are coming out on average at 1440p. Don't talk to me about upscaling to 4K. Most if not all tvs comes with a upscaler so thats not a sell.

There is no justification for so many 1440p games with a system that supposedly could use the F16 to do close to 8TF processing in theory. So in theory WTF is going on with the system or do we blame the Devs?

I still play some games at 1440p on my PC (GTX 1080) as my (all?) 4K TV upscales to 4K automatically and still look much better than 1080p. I'm really glad I got the PRO for games lie Horizon, Uncharted etc and it is an upgrade from the original PS4. Not a must upgrade but worth it IMHO.

1440p looks razor crisp on the Pro and this game will look great. Pro is a very nice upgrade and has a lot of power with it's beefed up GPU to make games look great on a 4K tv or monitor.
