No lack of 4K content. Those of us ready to move up to 4K are in for a treat. No I am intrigued to see which engines yield the best results and what types of games benefit the most.

That first pic looks nothing short of absolutely amazing!when is this coming out for consoles?

Erik73572474d ago (Edited 2474d ago )

Don't expect it to look or even run that good on consoles including Xbox one x.I have a gtx1080, something that will run games faster than a ps5, and I think I'll get around 45-60fps at 1440p at highest settings..

To answer your question though, it is coming out months after the PC. Obvious sign of them going to gut it out for console version . I imagine the vegetation will take the biggest hit when going over to consoles, then shadows, then textures, and whatever left they have to do to probably get it running at sub 30fps occasionally dipping into 25fps with little anti aliasing if at all none running all at 1080p maybe 900p. On ps4 pro and Xbox one x you will probably see them improve the frame rate first with that extra power to maybe get stable 30fps with more anti aliasing. For Xbox one x they might then improve the vegetation and resolution more than they would for ps4 pro but it still will not look as good as pc version of course.

"I have a gtx1080, something that will run games faster than a ps5"

How do you know? When did the specs of PS5 come out?

Typical PC guy response. I don't get why it's a life mission to make sure people don't get to excited about a game. Someone's like oh this looks cool when is it coming to consoles? And PC guy comes in and is like oh it'll be complete trash and they are delaying the game on consoles because they are completely gutting the game and it'll be like 20 fps and have like a quarter of the foliage and no animations.
Of course I'm kinda exaggerating a bit here but it's ridiculous how stupid and petty people can be.

@aawells07

Oh yea! Like this website isn't full to the brim of a certain type of, "guy", right?... The pc community say's it as it is, just because it hurts doesn't mean it's incorrect.

~But any way, I'm not certain a 1080 will be more powerful than a ps5. It may be close though, but will likely fall underneath.

It all depends how fast gpu's keep upgrading. 50-75% more power every gpu gen means within a few gens we'll be sitting at 30+ tflops with a single card... A buget gpu could easily reach 15 by then.

..Remember, it's still 2017. 4 more years to go.

Different architecture lad you cant compare any benchmarks between a console and a PC.

For all you know the PS4 Pro/Xbox one X versions of the game may outperform your PC with this game. It all depends on how well they optimise for the consoles. Im not saying it will outperform a PC but it depends on the complete set-up you have.

And i doubt a GTX 1080 will outperform the PS5 when it is released

Hahaha....................no. Since the day of the game's debut I have been comparing it to little graphic showcases that a team of ONE person would put out. The type of thing like this https://knowtechie.com/this...

This stuff is just like what Crytek released back when Crysis was unveiled. Lets see how unoptimised and broken this game will be kingdom come launch (lol). Why didn't they just make it on Unreal 4??? If this game ISN'T a trainwreck, I will admit I was wrong.

Erik73572474d ago (Edited 2474d ago )

I saw demos of combat, cutscenes, missions, and abiliity to do day to day jobs which is cool. Probably sucks on console though. Just so you know this game has had around the same development time as witcher 3....

_-EDMIX-_2474d ago

...." Probably sucks on console though"

Is this coming to the Switch or?

wolf5812474d ago

dont waste yr breath i have many pc friends that admits horizon zero dawn and uncharted 4 as the most advanced engines right now.deliverance running on cryengine...even kojima choose dechima engine above all other engines right now

XStation4pio_Pro2474d ago

Can’t wait to see it running on the one x.

-Gespenst-2474d ago

Looks good, but I don't think I've ever known a CryEngine game to run well unless you have the best PC available at the time. Yeah you can make pretty games with CryEngine, but it seems to be garbage when it comes to performance. It's almost as if CryEngine just doesn't provide any good means of optimizing stuff, and you so can only run games made in it well if you have an absolutely top of the line PC. It's as if only top of the line PCs can handle all the lack of optimization.

Just Bought it Thank you after checking reviews alot people enjoyed it Worth Picking up for that Price.

Spenok19d ago

I already own the physical copy on PS4, and even bought it on Steam for my Steamdeck... but I went ahead and bought this as well. Because, why not?

Aussiesummer18d ago

If you just like wasting money sure.

Spenok18d ago

It's not wasting money, it's me supporting the developer, in hopes it helps them in the long run to continue making amazing games.

This one was certainly not a needed purchase. As for the Steam copy, I wanted to be able to take the game on the go, and it was on a good deal besides.

thesoftware73019d ago

Yeah, good price, saw this yesterday on SX as well
