EA Got Back The Only Guy Who Can Redeem Mass Effect, Dragon Age And Has Me Excited For Anthem

I have faith in him. But I'm not trusting on EA because they know how to screw their developers off. I do know what he did Mass Effect 3 which is still great game in my opinion. But his record on previous games show his talent is still there. He is now general manager of Bioware. And as general manager, they usually can talk to their major publishers which can be a lot of things to discuss. Even I don't trust EA , but I sometimes do hope they can way to please consumers for once.

Anthem is probably wrapping up its final stages of development. Casey, will likely have more influence over BioWare's next title(s).

I'd rather have Mass effect 3 with a bad ending than Andromeda, which is shit with a bad ending

Because ME3's - ending - was so bad is why Andromeda is what it is. ME3 had far more issues, suffered from tons of shortcuts and cut corners, but because of the focus on the ending those were given a pass. So with the next game EA/Bioware took more shortcuts.

I don't think this guy will make a bit of difference with Anthem, it's too late for that, but fingers crossed on ME and Dragon Age.

I really enjoyed last dragons age... mass effect was a chop job IMO. EA is hit or miss. I'm going to try titanfall 2 and battlefield 1 for five bucks on ea access... because it's 5 bucks. It's hard to knock the quality of that service though. Battlefront 2 has a chance to redeem itself thus far

I mean andromeda is a decent game, not the best far from the worst however. Dragon age inquisition was awesome, I'm sorry you can go if you didn't like that game. It took alot of stuff from the first dragon age, some of mass effects dna in how the story was told and added some great other gameplay mechanics and large open world areas with lots of quests todo-ofc this is the thing mass effect andromeda did very well aswell.

Well, will say ME:A is average at best and DA:I was better than DA: 2 at least. Not saying didn't enjoy the games but they were not that great either.

I thought mass effect andromeda was a decent entry to a new galaxy.

Throwbacks to what happened in the previous entries and left a lot of questions unanswered.

The more interesting thing is why did the other guy leave? The real reason? For a game that is coming out next year, it's probably to late to make any major story sha he's, right? The last game we, at least I remember, having a "change" like this was Destiny, I think... how did that turn out?

Andromeda has a better chance of bouncing back than No Man's Sky. Andromeda is part of a well known and acclaimed franchise while NMS is a new IP that was filled with emptiness and broken promises. The only people that are still interested in NMS are people that have been playing it from the jump.

ME:A was not bad. I am still not sure where all the people crying about the story and writing came from. I played through Mass Effect 1-3 each game at least twice and in the case of 1 and 2 at least 3 times each and they were not exactly written by Hemingway. They were always built on well-established genre tropes, ham-fisted, over the top and at times eye-rolling.

It is unfortunate that ME:A did not do as well as they wanted and I have no doubt this was likely even more in part because of ME 3 and the way it was received. They needed to end the trilogy in epic fashion and they did not. The one thing they did fail to do in ME:A is include enough compelling companion characters. I wasn't a huge fan or really any of them. When it was coming down to romance time I was not really sure which way to go as I didn't really care about my choices. Still they game was fun enough and some of the settings and set pieces were massive.

I am skeptical that any one person can save a franchise, much less 2 of them. All they needed to do with Dragon Age was make a new game that was like the first one in a different setting. Nobody was clamoring for that 3rd person action looking view style. They took everything people loved about origins and by the end of DA2 it was gone. All in the name of somebody's idea of "giving them what they want". I always wonder who the "them" they refer to is. When it comes to a sequel for Dragon Age, it must be a focus group of people that didn't want to play the original game in the first place.

Rather than old IP, I want them to make new ones again.. but then again this is not the bioware that dared to make NWN, KOTOR, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect
