Actually, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes are being ported to the Wii among Pikmin as part of a discount line of GameCube games with Wii controls.

Got my Gamecube and Wii on launch day. Have loved every Nintendo product since the Game and Watch devices!

I agree with the xbot above for once. If you want real adult games like re5, GTA, SC, and plenty more, you cant get that on the wii. The system is still lacking a LOT. You want to play those games? You need to get yourself a PS3.

Wii is starting to catch up now, too many cool games every hardcore gamer should look forward to.

1. Tsunoku vs Capcom (same engine as Marvel vs Capcom 2 but 3D, what ELSE can I frigging say?)

2. Tenchu 4 (looks pretty cool on trailers and its being made by the original tenchu people)

3. Punch Out (this one is self explanatory, been dying for a Punch Out since day one!)

4. Sin and Punishment 2 (I LOVE shooters, and this is a damn good one, go download Sin and punishment from virtual console and you will see how good this game is).

5. Final Fantasy CC: Echoes of Time (Online play between DS-Wii what else can I say, looks really interesting)

6. Fatal Frame 4 (For those people that like games like the old Resident Evil)

7. Dead Rising Wii (Well it uses RE4 engine, so it should be a blast to play, also Dead Rising was a very good game on 360, the only thing that worries me is that this one won't have as many zombies, but they said they would add as much as they can)

8. Tales of Symphonia 2 (:D:D:D:D:D:D I LOVE "Tales of" series, one of the best RPGs ever, and this is the sequel to gamecube's Tales of Symphonia wich was one of my fav RPGs last gen (right next to Star Ocean 3, FFX-XII and Grandia III).

9. ALSO NEW "Tales of" game for wii (yeah since ToS 2 is already released in japan, they are developing a new one, can;t wait for it!)
The only thing better than one Tales of games is 2 tales of games.

10. Monster Hunter 3 (snuff said, go play PSP MH2 and you will see how entertaining this game is).

11. Fragile, that new Sonic (with the sword lol), Dynasty Warriors and some 2D brawler that I saw on the montage video of Nintendo's conference(they all look promising, not so sure about Dynasty Warriors though)

12. And finally, Disaster Day of Crisis =P

All those games make me happy, and I am glad I will be able to play them, all those games +Resistance 2, KillZone 2, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Rock Band 2, GHWT, FF Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hears 364/2 and New Mario vs Luigi 3 will make me a REALLY happy hardcore gamer.

It owns to own PS3,Wii, DS and PSP (hey I got a 360 but it died :( ) I need one though for Tales of Vespertia and Gears of War 2. Will buy it when RRoD dissapear (this worries me)

In the damn world did I forget The Conduit and Madworld? I deserve to be shot.... Well this just shows the amount of games upcoming I am even starting to forget some, well here they are.

13. The Conduit (Promised as the game that will show the true potential of Wii graphics, don't expect HD resolutions you tech savys, but this game utilizes a lot of tecniques to make the game look polished and great. But thats just a quarter of what it will offer, It will be the pinacle of FPS controls on any console, people that have played MP3 Corruption or Medal of Honor 2 heroes on wii, know by a fact that the Wiimote is unrivaled when it comes to precision and speed in FPS, and this game is supposed to deliver there, it will also have a "good" online mode (like that one of Medal of Honor Heroes 2, AKA no more damn Friend Codes) and Lan play. I also heard it will have motionplus I hope it does.

14. Madworld, well youtube a video of this game and you will see, its like Sin City version of a video game, really bloody and bizarre, and more importantly the game mecanics and gameplay seem to be good from the video. This is definitely a game we should look forward to.

15. Finally, I saw some footage from some RPGs on that montage video, they look good for those few seconds, its impossible to judge a game in that little time, but at least its coming and we will have the chance to see if its worth it, also you should all keep an eye on Rigar (might be just an average action game, kinda like Soul Calibur Legends, meh, we will see) and Naruto Shippuden 3 (well for those that can Import, this game will include a really interesting Adventure Mode, so keep an eye on it, and I always recommend people to watch vids on youtube about games before buying them.

i am cool with FF echoes, MH3 and perhaps the Tatsunoko vs Street Fighter... it appears to be a good one, but i think it will be better played on a classic controller, just died about the GC ports (MP with pointer aim, gonna die happy if this happens) and the almagamation of RPGs that just popped up on TGS, dind't saw this one coming...

this would only get better if konami anounced a MGS for Wii XD

I don't know, a few good announcement but not a ton of them, and not really about the biggest franchises for the Wii. And then it's Japan and 2009? Feels more like throwing a small bone to a pack of rabid starving dogs rather than a buffet for loyal fans.

I mean I used to LOVE Nintendo, I didn't love their N64 but I loved their Gamecube, which suffered because of the lack of faith in the console that third parties had, PS2 dominated third party support and killed the Dreamcast and the Gamecube in those respects.

The Wii, there has only been 3 games that have interested me in the Wii(Mario Galaxy, Cooking Mama & SSBB)and those aren't enough to buy a Wii imo, I do not see any games coming out on the Wii that would interest me, I will only be interested in Punch Out if they don't make the Wiimote use mandatory, which I am betting they are.

I really don't know what Nintendo is doing for the "core" gamers but as a core gamer myself I don't see nothing coming from them, and don't come here telling me I am not a gamer or nothing as I have been gaming since 1983 had all the consoles between then and now except the Neo Geo, PS3 & Wii, so please do not try to discredit me of my coreness lol, but seriously, I don't think they are trying hard enough, but I really don't care as I have my core console.

Indeed, what they showed certainly looked pretty slick. Crossing my fingers that the rest of the game goes off equally well.

Also, a mild disclaimer: some sites refer to it as Dynamic Combat, while others have called it Dynamic Slash. Might just be a translation issue or something, but something to keep in mind when looking for articles about it.
