Friday the 13th: The Game's developers are banning players unfairly

Gunmedia have banned accounts permanently just for glitching even once in their broken game. They also don't ban accounts if the player knows a developer, and make up fake ban reasons to warrant their abuse.

smaller independent developers really need to learn a few PR basics

This game is turning into a hot mess. To think I backed this game on kickstarter too.

Cy2506d ago

Lol, not true. They ban people who are exploiting the game. Just because a glitch is there doesn't mean it's okay to use it. I have zero problem with glitchers getting banned, even if they only do it once, because none of the glitches happen by accident.

Battlefieldlover2506d ago

If they are showing favoritism with who they ban than that is wrong. If they are banning someone for glitching the game (even just once) than I have no problem. I've sat in games where everyone is playing the game as intended, I've managed to escape, Hit Jason a few times, racked up some good XP, than you see it. One person (usually more) glitched their way on top of the roof. Jason can't reach him/her....an there is 11 minutes left in the match. Jason has killed everyone else, or "lost" and let a few escape. Now NO ONE gets any XP cause Jason quits the game (and can't really blame um). You should be banned, its players that act that way who can kill a game that is already hurting for players at certain times. Its a flat out %$@# move and is further pointed out by the fact that the cheater is standing there for 10 plus minutes doing nothing. How is that even fun? Or even XP profitable? Its not and I have Zero sympathy for those who have been banned.

Well good. Some people have the nerve to help Jason if anything they are the mains that should be banned

Shoot whats next Child's play?Actually that sounds badass

Evil Dead is great. I'd love a Halloween game done this way. Maybe it's a 3 way fight. One player is Michael Myers. 5 players are helpless victims trying to survive, 3 players are hunters trying to stop Michael Myers. Hunters could be Laurie Strode, Dr. Loomis and Sheriff Brackett. Boom, I just laid out the game for you, Gun Media. Lets go.

Alright, this game needs to happen!

shinoff2183637d ago

All thise games would serve better being single player. I see multiplayer attached and i stopped even watching. Shame

sourOG637d ago

It would. I bought evil dead and played it once lol. If there is any franchise that would get me to play this style of game it’s killer klowns.

That’s my thing. I’m not into these asymmetrical MP games. Sure, they’re fun the first few days, but after that I’m over them. I’d rather a single player narrative driven experience that really pays homage to the source material like Ghostbusters The Video Game. That thing was essentially Ghostbusters 3 in my eyes and was such a love letter to the fans with Easter eggs and explored lore.

While I would love a solid, competent single player component, the fan in me is stroked to play these games, period. Plus, I do generally enjoy multiplayer horror titles like Dead by Daylight and Evil Dead, so I'm waiting on this with eager anticipation!

A mainstream moment full of mediocre cash-grabs is nothing to celebrate.

Evil Dead: The Game was good. And Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Killer Klowns still aren't out yet, sooooo can't really say they're mediocre with any validity quite yet.
