This is a from-the-ground-up remake of the old games. It's a new game, and you completely failed at referencing Jim Ryan's comment, where he was talking about the visuals of games from generations ago, particularly old Gran Turismo games. This remake's starkest improvements are in the visuals where it actually looks like a current gen game, so if anything that validates his point there.

As expected, you don't even have a point.

Since shooters are still selling a ton I don't see the connection here. The only thing this shows is that people are also hungry for oldschool 3D platformers. Having a diverse gaming lineup is key. No need to drag one genre down to praise another.

Totally agree with you. I stopped playing shoot em up games years ago. I think call of duty 4 was my last game. Even though I was pretty good at it, especially online gaming, I got sick of seeing more shoot em up games. Just same old shoot that, shoot this. I missed PS1 era fun games. Since then I've been playing mostly driving games and few platform games.
Good to see Crash Bandicoot back on our screen, remastered. That was my first game on PS1.

I was just thinking why that could be. I think the reason is that the average gamer is 32 year old roughly and grew up with Crash. Also, I believe that this generation prefers sp games too. So they really catered to the majority of gamers with this remake. But now, young gamers get to enjoy it too. So I guess, know your audience right?

The game ended up really good and for $40, its a no brainer.. My only complaint is the lack of extras.. If CTR was an unlockable or the original graphics, that wouldve been great.. but again, it was only $40 so im not complaining..
