"Crash needs a total reboot. There's an opportunity to reset the history, and go back to his creation story and the original conflict with Cortex. In that context, you could reprise classic Crash 1 and 2's settings and villains. It would make sense to use a more modern, free-roaming style. I would concentrate on Looney Tunes-esque animation and really addictive action. That's what we did with the original Crash, and there's no reason it couldn't be done today. Given the current Crash games, people forget that he was once cool. Our Crash had a certain whimsical edge to him. Sure, it was goofy – BUT IT WASNT DUMB."

Sorry but that's just a ghost of the past. Maybe if the game was hardcoded for the Amiga 500's custom chipset in the early 90s would this be an issue. Have a look at this where the 60fps trailer is shown (timestamped)

They should have done it really. 60fps would make the game smoother and actually make it easier. It's weird but maybe they just wanted to preserve the difficulty of the originals.

The load times are off putting but its faster than switching discs on PS1 to play all 3 games.. This is fine with me.. A remake thats literally a remake.. All i wanted from the game although some extra content like OST, concept art, and other goodies to unlock wouldve been cool.

I work til 5pm tomorrow, then I got an extra excruciating three hours to wait to play the game as it takes me an hour and a half to come back home, then I gotta munch, then chat to relatives abroad, then catch up on stuff, and then be able to pop the disk in my PS4 and play. But even then I might not be able to play tomorrow if my sister, her husband and their kids come in to chill as they hog the TV with the PS4 on, and the internet bandwidth for remote play, plus my brother plays PS4 with my sisters husband only on that pile of dog shit called FIFA 17 every time they show up. I'm at least praying they don't show up tomorrow so I can play this epicness.

Fortunately my brother in law left my sister and her kids at my house, so remote play was available and I was able to enjoy this awesome game for the past hour. VV did such an awesome job with this game, I was sort of worried that I might not get on with the music but it fits well with the levels. About the gameplay, because I was playing on remote play I cannot atm reserve a 100% finite assessment but when remote play wasn't lagging for me, the game was fluid and plays superbly (most of my 'deaths' playing were because of lag issues, and I have 50Mb BT Infinity which I tested a few times on speedtest and kept getting readings of 45Mb and over). My guess was that this reviewer must have been playing on remote play only to have such a claim of 'difficulty', but I can say so far that very minor elements have been made more difficult in particular activating the running mechanic on Pura in crash 3.

How is it that Sony announced back in April that all the PS2 Jak & Daxter games would be ported to PS4, yet here we are on the dawn of Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy and we still haven't heard any update on that?

It shouldn't take that long to port those games as PS2 Classics. Then again Sony has been teasing this Crash remaster collection since 2013.

i always wanted to get remakes of the first 3 Crash. Damn, they granted my wish!!! Downloading it now, looking forward to play it again :D
I would like the same about Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic&Knuckles but it's not happening :( HD graphic, new remixed sounds, maybe some bonus. And no, not talking about Sonic Mania (and of course i'm not saying it's bad, just i'd prefer the HD graphic and not a Mega Drive style graphic).

Got the game today! For nostalgia, it's a 10! The loading times are annoying but I'm okay with that, Crash was my favourite on PS1. I'll need to try the Spyro cheat as I'm not seeing if anyone else has yet.
