Why Star Fox 2 on SNES Classic Is A Miracle

Star Fox 2 is officially releasing for the first time on the SNES Classic...and that's a miracle.

Apparently the version out in the wild isn't the completely finalized version being pushed with the SNES Classic. I don't know how substantial the differences will be all in all, but we'll know for sure when the SNES Classic drops and reviews inevitably happen.

What? Nintendo owns the game.

Look up what happened with Nintendo and Argonaut Games, the developer. Argonaut kinda got ripped off and the code they made for the game, which was originally supposed to be proprietary, got used in other Nintendo titles to make them work, with Argonaut not receiving an additional penny for it.

Good question shadowWlof712! because back in the day SOME of the salary of the people developing the game was royalties. In fact a big portion of the musicians salary was royalties. So just because Nintendo owns the game does not mean they don't have to pay.

while there is not as many games as a machine that has been out awhile there are many games out already after only 3 months. This list has way more than the 21 game you claim.

The SNES Mini's game selection beats the shit out of the NES Mini's any day of the week.

Many of the games on the NES Mini have aged awfully bad. Balloon Fight, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Zelda and Zelda 2, Double Dragon 2, Ice Climber, etc, are not games you'll play time and time again. By comparison, the SNES Mini's list of games is stellar, and are much more complex, graphically and mechanically, than the NES games.

And the SNES Mini has 2 controllers included, not one. All in all, I think it's better value than the NES Mini (and I actually liked the NES more than the SNES back in the day...)

I did not know that the SNES Mini comes with 2 controllers. That's awesome! The NES era for me was kind of magical. When the SNES was released I was gotten mostly into Amiga and PC. That said, you're right that the SNES games are technical superior ofcourse. I've come to play many of the SNES games included in the SNES mini on Virtual Console over the yrs. Earthbound is one of my all time favourites. Damnit, I have to say that Earthbound was the best experience I ever had with the Wii U lol. However I still think Ninty could manage to fill in a few more games in the SNES mini. It's not that the roms are that big.
