This is a revolutionary way to approach tower defense in VR, becoming the towers. It would be even cooler if someone could play on the TV like a classical tower defense game where they get to place the towers you get to teleport to. I'd also like to see the computer take control of the towers you aren't on, or the ability to have multiplayer where two players with controllers placing towers and say, 4 vr players per team controlling towers all playing on the same board.

Ancient Amuletor review - ChristCenteredGamer

We have reviewed and enjoyed a couple of tower defense games in VR. Like traditional tower defense games, in Ancient Amuletor you’ll have to defend crystals. Instead of deploying defenses, YOU are the main line of defense. You can teleport to different areas and hurl various attacks at the waves of enemies coming to smash your crystals.

I'd like to try this out in VR. Too bad they multiplayer isn't working right at the moment. Hopefully it's patched soon.

I played the demo of this on PSVR and found the game mostly unplayable. The camera simply didn't track my hands consistently enough for me to consider a purchase.

Strange review. Gamers asked for more content and the developers delivered some more with a twist on the gameplay with a new character, level, etc but the extras get trashed. When the game and the DLC should be taken as a whole. When the (((same))) article writer says this for the main game review...

**+ Super-fun and challenging core gameplay
+ Gorgeous environments complete with a fitting soundtrack and cool boss fights
+ Fantastic variety of playable characters**

But trashes what seems like free add on DLC, then there's something wrong here with the review. Also looking for a different type of gameplay when the developer is selling one type of gameplay. Just with different characters and their weapons being different. Like expecting something like an adventure game when it's just a tower defense game. Expecting more than what it is makes the review poor.

And no, I found nothing wrong with the move controls for this game. Only that it can make you tired from attacking enemies from the constant moving of your arms. But it's a fun but short game.

Hi, Apocalypse Shadow. The problem with the new character is that throwing stuff simply doesn't work. Although the four main characters have their own distinct style that work for them, this new one is ultimately frustrating to play as. Also, about the gameplay: the fact that there are no additional twists to the very basic formula is disappointing. No one expects it to turn into an adventure game but the developers could have at least added something clever to the new stage. Instead, it all feels far too samey.

As for the price: it is free for two weeks but then will be $3 afterwards.

And I understand what you're saying. I would love an adventure game based off of these characters. I mentioned a while back (which won't happen but I can wish right) that I wanted a dungeons and dragons game based off of the old cartoon
https://m.youtube.com/watch...

But since the developer is only offering a tower defense game, I have to accept that that is all there is. And take the DLC as just an addition to the main game.

It's like reviewing a weapon in the division or battlefield games.(I don't have either)

Some weapons gamers like and other weapons they don't. But each gamer chooses the weapon they like that they believe will help them win. If I was reviewing a game, I'll review that. But I'm not going to review one level or one weapon from the game. Because it's subjective. You may not like or are frustrated by the Axe thrower. But another gamer may enjoy the Axe thrower and have no issue.

I would just say that the developer added more content to a fun but short game, that's free for a limited time, say that the character may or may not be frustrating to use and be done with it. But I wouldn't review just that myself personally. Just my opinion just like your review is an opinion of the extra content. It just seems weird. Like reviewing an optional car pack for a racing game and one or two cars in the pack are frustrating to drive. But not for everybody.

Meh. I'm sure the devs will deliver more content later. This si the only chinese ps4 game that is at least passable. Dying Reborn and Weeping Dol were terrible, while Koi, Pixel Gear and Ace Banana were mediocre.
