Cory Barlog on GoW: We Were Encouraged to Really Consider Scoping This Thing Down; Praises Sony

Thank You Sony !!!!
Ohhhh man the videogame industry would have died ages ago if it were not for Sony Playstation , just reading this story made me truly realize what an awesome company they are.

"Barlog goes on to explain that as a partner, Sony did not force Santa Monica to scale back on their vision and because of that, players will get the biggest God of War title since God of War 2 and possibly the deepest narrative driven iteration of the series so far when it officially launches next year."

Once again, this goes to show that Sony ( while they do have say on certain things ) really allows their respected developers the freedom to take risks, do their own thing, and try to achieve that vision the team has for their respected game's. Even if it could lead to failure, which is something I really respect. Their studios have really earned Sony's Trust & Respect.

Because of this, we got TLoU, by Naughty Dog, which is their absolute best game ever "in my opinion" and we got HZD, by Guerrilla Games, which is their best game ever as well "in my opinion" God of War for PS4 looks bloody brilliant. Stunning graphics...I'm so excited to play what looks to be one bad**** gaming experience, as well as Kratos at his possible.

Taking risks can bring about incredible results. Sony's game studios have shown that.

GoW is my favorite series from Sony. Loved the greek mythology theme of the original games and really looking forward to the norse mythology in the new chapter.

People are still calling it a reboot?

Sam Fisher2520d ago

Right? I find it weird like its obviously a continuation of the first three, they just ditched the numbers

BiggerBoss2520d ago

It's kind of a soft reboot. It's a continuation of the story from the original 3, but the style of the game has taken some major changes.
