So hypothetically they could change it and turn it into a sequel

SCW19822509d ago

Anything would be better than that edgy crap they showed.

Mykky2509d ago

The trailer/cgi short? I actually thought it was quite cool.

Gazondaily2509d ago

The trailer looked cool.

Nitrowolf22509d ago

Or maybe, just maybe they could go silent on the game for 9 years again

Ceaser98573612509d ago

and people were like Ubi dropped the bomb .. won the show.. I am expecting this to come out not before 2020

And this is why I said before that unless it's on the shelf being sold, I've stopped worrying about when it releases.

All these other Ubisoft games get created and sold each year and this game takes more than 15 years to make.

Not even day zero development? Ridiculous.

Jakens2509d ago (Edited 2509d ago )

Rumor is they spent three years making a framework for the game to start development in.

If they can spend 7 years building "the crew".....

Then I expect this game in about 6 years, that's 2023. Oh my. I want this game but 2023? Say it's coming sooner than that.

MrJay2509d ago

Sounds like a 2019 or 2020 title. If it takes longer than that, then most likely coming to next gen as well.

rdgneoz32509d ago

Probably 2020. No way in hell it'd be done by 2018 and they'd have to rush the game in order to make it for 2019. with 3 years away, it might be tail end of this Pro/X consoles and then on the next gen systems.

Summons752509d ago

This, FF7HD, Shenmue 3, and Death Stranding will all be PS5 releases at this rate.

CyrusLemont2509d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a next gen launch title exclusive, the ambition for the game doesn't seem feasible on current gen. I mean they did say shared open world, with seamless travel from planet to space to other star systems and planets. That's some Star Citizen s*** right there, and is going to require a lot more GPU and more importantly CPU power for it to work well. Or they could surprise the hell out of us and make a miracle happen.

MrJay2508d ago

Yeah, you're probably right. Wish they would've kept quiet until the game was ready to launch 6 months to a year. Plus Ancel still needs to get WiLD out.

Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors: "I deserve a lot of criticism."

Embracer CEO demonstrates a masterclass in mental gymnastics in latest interview.
"I'm sure I deserve a lot of criticism, but I don't think my team or companies deserve all the criticism. I could take a lot of that blame myself. But ultimately I need to believe in the mission," he said.

Turned based Phantasy Star and Shinning Force remain at the top of my list of Sega IPs that need to return. At the very least I'd take a Shining Force collection that has 1,2,3, CD and the Game Gear entries.

FinalBoss8d ago

I was hesitant to put these two on. I've personally played more PSO than the RPG version. And shame on me, I don't remember much about Shining Force to talk about it properly.

That said, so many Sega licences deserve their place in this list.

jznrpg6d ago

A new Phantasy Star in the numbered series would be amazing. Shining Force too. But I’d settle on some collections as that’s probably the best we will get

anast8d ago

I don't trust Sega to do a proper comeback. The games will be just remastered and/or monetized to death.

gold_drake7d ago

shining force.

but indont see that happening unfortunately.
