I do like Forza more than the recent GT entries. The best? Eh, I can live with that. The only racing game I can say I've enjoyed more than any Forza was Burnout Revenge but that's because it was mindless fun.

Turn 10 is a pretty great studio. And honestly,
I can't think of a single racing developer that's conceivably better at their craft. I would say any of Microsoft's other studios are easy targets, but Microsoft does well by them.

Seeing as how often Turn 10 do put out quality racing titles, they have certainly been leading for a while now.

GT games a far and few between, but I appreciate the time they put into their titles.

The NFS series is always like a yoyo, sometimes you get gems other time garbage or meh NFS titles.

Burnout series is dead unfortunately. The Crew, stupid towers in a racing game, typical Ubi.

I think it is time for Nintendo to announce a new F-Zero title or an updated port from the GameCube F-Zero GX version. We need new futuristic racers seeing a Wipe Omega just released.

It must be tough being Phil, putting a lid on all that hubris. Get the feeling that if Xbox was on top we would have to suffer more of this. The guy is treated like some kind of messiah around here, be careful what you wish for.

That's debatable, but I have seen the Forza series rise considerably in terms of popularity over the years. You know what's not debatable? It will never be a driving sim that academies will acknowledge unlike GT, so GT is really the best there is when it comes to combining a driving game and simulator for professional race car licensing/qualifier purposes.

Phil, is like that head coach on a sorry sports team. Of course you have to say your guys are the best, because well, they are on your team and you want the team morale to be high. Haha, We all know polyphony digital is the kings in the realm of REAL racing "SIM". They were the first racing game to have car companies not only showcase at their racing events, but in the games with prototype cars. And still do to this day, wow you have Porsche, GT has been doing this with bigger better manufacturers i.e ferrari, lamborghini, bugatti, etc. So I don't see the big deal in Porsche other than this is their milestone achievement. Forza is a decent game, but far as a racing game, and racing mechanics GT has that. The only thing GT lacks because it's sooo "SIM" is the deep level of customization that forza has, I loved the fact that you could get a honda del-sol and turn it into a 4wd monster. lOl.

i.e GT is FIA certified, but that's not being tooted like this Porsche deal, it's like that thing when you are rich, you don't brag about having money because you're used to it. When you don't have money and you obtain what you think is alot, you tend to "stunt" and show it off as if you have so much more than you have... GT in this case is used to having accolades and partnerships etc. Forza is just now obtaining it's first... huge different in class between the two.

The best racing game is the game which professionals and real car enthusiast buy consoles for to play them. Not the ones where only a few gamers pay to play the same every year.
