What's keeping Nintendo from making a new Advance Wars?

Speaking to Eurogamer in an interview for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia , Nintendo's Hitoshi Yamagami - who worked as producer on three Advance Wars titles, including the last entry, 2008's Days of Ruin - said he'd be keen to return to the series. The problem, though, is how it could assimilate one of Fire Emblem's most popular features - the relationship-building that takes place on the battlefield.

Because fans forgot to buy the last entry in the series. People can't sit back and not buy a game in a franchise and then wonder years later why that same franchise doesn't get new entries on a somewhat daily basis. It just sucks because its a franchise I happen to like just not as much as Fire Emblem.

they also pulled a 180 with that game and gave the fans something they didn't all really want though.
