Soviet Union - "About 400,000 Soviet women served in front-line duty units,[7] chiefly as medics and nurses."

Britain - "By August, 1941, women were operating the fire-control instruments; they were never allowed to pull the trigger, as killing the enemy was considered to be too masculine (cough ziggurcat cough). By 1943, 56,000 women were in Anti-Aircraft Command, most in units close to London where there was a risk of getting killed, but no risk of getting captured by the enemy."

There were a some soldiers / snipers in the Soviet Union, but pretty much everywhere else they were medics / helping fly supplies to and from / helping in roles far away from the front lines.

The French Resistance had female fighters historically, and as you mentioned, the USSR had female snipers and several all-female ground troop regiments as well.

I have a feeling they're going to replace the Swastika with the Iron cross just like they did in the Zombie Chronicles dlc. I understand its offensive and its prohibited in Germany but;
1. It kills the realism/immersion
2. The Iron Cross is just as racist/offensive

Making female soldiers isn't a big deal at all, but do it because you actually know it has historical relevancy and that it's relevant to the game you're making; not this cuck-ass "we're doing it because diversity is what's hip and and cool now, so let's use it as a marketing ploy to make sooo much money!" That crap is getting old...

Where do they say that there was ? The only mention I can find that Sledghammer have made is of women soldiers as French Resistance fighters.
COD has had multiple protaganists (British, Polish, Russians) before, so I don't see why they wont this time, even if they're going to push the US army part as a marketing ploy...

Depends on the context. If there's some sort of Normandy invasion mode in the MP, then no, you aren't going to see many if any females. If we are talking small resistance squads, possibly.

Historically accurate in what sense? It happened, but It wasn't common at all. Many countries never had female combatants and the ones that did had a very very small proportion. Plus people shouldn't freak out over this shit. Politics like this should really stay out of games cause I doubt a game about WWII is trying to convey any message on gender/sex, yet some people are focusing on it cause they have no real worries in life.
