Is Xbox Game Pass The Right Price For You?

After a fairly short trial period, Microsoft have announced that the ‘Xbox Game Pass’ is now live for all Xbox Live Gold members, starting with a free 14 day trial, Xbox Gold members can now access over 100 Xbox 360, ID @ Xbox and Xbox One titles for the requested coin of £7.99/$9.99 per month.

I'm not interested in subscription based models, but the price isn't bad.

I like the idea a lot, but I'd like to see an annual membership that costs less, the same way that the other subscription services out currently do. Something like $100 annually (vs. $120/yr @ $9.99/mo).

Also, I'm curious how fast games switch out and what games they'll add into the mix before I buy into anything. If it's done right it could be great though.

I feel like the fees for PlayStation Now are a bit high though, though its selection of PS3 games is fairly solid.

Am I missing something? Isn't a year of Now $99? If I divided that by 12 that would be less than $10 a month. $8.25 to be exact. The only difference is that the shorter length prices are higher.

I mean people can complain all they want about Now but let's at least put the facts out there.

I just saw that it was $20 a month. Which is decent, but not as good as that $8.25 breakdown. Thanks for the heads up.

I think it's going to become an industry standard.. that's how good this is.

I started playing Halo 5 on it this morning (the only Halo game I haven't played yet) and it seems to work perfectly.

I've been hard on MS lately, but this is definitely a step in the right direction!!

I sure hope it doesn't become the standard. I myself enjoy owning my games.

For new users to the system it's a good idea but for the fans who have lots of games already it probably isn't worth it.

I thought about that too. Even though I have a lot of the games on there, there's still a lot on there I don't have. $10 a month is that 'sweet spot', though. That's why I went with this as opposed to PS Now. It's less expensive to the point where I can justify it. Only time will tell if it's worth keeping, though.

If you are w high speed unlimited data plan for Internet, PSNow is actually cheaper currently. At $99 for the year thats 8.25 a month.

But that's if your ok with streaming and lower quality. And also depends on annual price for gams pass

Not right now. If they offer longer subscriptions i may be interested. I don't like being rushed to complete a game, i like to take my time with it.
