By having very little to do with the games. It's too bad a court case forced a reboot in 2012 though as that's when I stopped reading them. Based on what I've heard about the rebooted series there is some stuff I'd really like but at least a couple huge deal breakers that make me glad I made tracks, I mean besides the loss of so many characters and story elements from my childhood that caused me to leave the series behind in the first place.
