Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Gets 1080p Screenshots Showing E3 Sneak Peek

The worst news I ever heard about this game was that it has "vr missions" - as in the whole game won't be VR. After loving the RE7 experience entirely in VR this sucks to know about Ace Combat. And as it's mentioned in this article "... showcasing the non-VR missions that will make up most of the game’s content."

Agreed, I hated the "zoom in" feature in Assault, but AC7 looks like a redemption, can't wait!

I'd say Zero was the second or third best, can't really decide. I also feel like like 3 was better than 6, if for no other reason that it didn't have high-g turns screwing up the dogfight mechanics.

Ace combat on the ps2 was one of my favorite franchises. I hope this turns out just as good as those.

More combat, less story. That's always been my problem with this brand. Too much chatter. And it's not even interesting chatter. The stories in these games are always so bland but the gameplay is great. Hoping for the best with this one.

The story in 4 was so unique in its execution considering the structure with the pov character being the kid and the main character being Yellow 13, the enemy ace squadron leader. Its basically a sub plot that outshines a barely-there main story, but it definitely adds value to the experience. One of my favorite aspects of my favorite AC game.

Man that F-18 shot looks fantastic. On the surface I do love the idea of combat flight sims but I really hope the developer can some how breath some life into this genre as I feel like these games have fallen into a very formulaic approach that doesn't offer variety all that often.

There's not a whole lot of variety you can do with a Fighter simulator. Jets are very limited in their abilities.
