Injustice 2 Review: Mainstream Mortal Kombat [Gadgets 360]

Gadgets 360 says: "Incremental gameplay changes and an unnecessary complex Gear System make Injustice 2 a game that’s entertaining, if safe. It’s not as bad as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it’s not The Dark Knight either."

So a fighting game sequal plays like the last one? Why the need for it to play different?

theshredded2569d ago (Edited 2569d ago )

A 7 and a 6 are the first two scores...ouch no thank you I'll just be waiting for Tekken 7. I feel sorry for the comic book nerds.

slate912569d ago

Some of the classics have been 7s in the past my friend. Youre cheating yourself based off of someone else's opinion.

Dark_Knightmare22569d ago

The 6 you are most likely referring to is from pocket gamer and that review was for the mobile version

Z5012569d ago

Shouldn't the Flash win every fight? He can time travel right?

meganick2569d ago

Not if he gets killed or immobilized.

Z5012569d ago (Edited 2569d ago )

If he has 1% health left and he's not immobilized. He should win at the least 95% of the time. Otherwise, why put Flash in a game if you can't use Flash powers? Flash could kill an opponent 5 times over before the opponent hits the ground.

If Superman was your favorite character in whatever medium. You then play a Superman game where he can't fly, use heat vision, or super strength. What's the point?

Brash2569d ago

"Familiar gameplay = con" my problem with this is that trying new things for something that isn't broken is what leads to more terrible reviews. So how does an established developer win in that regard? If you get it right the first time, what can you do but add more content (which NetherRealm is doing in spades)?

xwabbit2569d ago

COD changes a lot which each game apparently because they give it high scores lol

q8kik2569d ago

People trust me on this one do not listen to anybody or any site concerning gameplay in hardcore titles like fighting games.
99.9% of the reviewers out there haven't got a clue on what makes a good fighting game good or some RTS's even.
Im not saying that this reviewer is particularly bad but be careful.

Great month, looking forward to Hot Wheels, I really love some good old arcade racing

darthv72608d ago

Heck yeah... love me some hot wheels

CobraKai608d ago

It’s fantastic. I paid full price and it’s worth it

LG_Fox_Brazil607d ago

Of course, these subscriptions cost money, you know?

MrVux000607d ago

Something inherently wrong with that?

Crows90607d ago (Edited 607d ago )

Yeah. Ps plus gives you value for your money. Unlike a different subscription that just takes your money. Hence why Sony where the first at every turn to give what players want or appear to be interested in. Free monthly games...check. subscription service with games ...check. And as always Microsoft goes in to do the same but constantly fails at giving good value. Games with gold has sucked the majority of it's existence. Gamepass is more expensive than ps plus extra and it doesn't give you online or monthly games. Ultimate is the most expensive service and yet it has less high rated games on its service than ps extra.

So yes. We should always judge these services for the value they give.

Mobis-New-Nest607d ago

Hopefully they have God of War Ragnarok, Modern Warfare 2 Remake and Last of Us Remake for December 2022. This selection is down right depressing 😞

FinalFantasyFanatic607d ago

Yeah, nah, they're not going to give us Ragnarok when it's practically just come out, they know they can still make alot of money off that one for another 6 or so months, probably the same with the Last of Us Remake.

Crows90607d ago (Edited 607d ago )

Oh so you want all of the games for pennies. You think that would help the devs much? Gaming isn't a charity business.

another good line-up. Hot Wheels looks interesting. Never played it.
Still hooked in Need for Speed Heat (this month's PS Plus free game)

darthv72608d ago

This just reminded me to nab NFS before it was yanked. Thanks for that.

lucian229608d ago

Looks like another good month. Really was happy with gran blue fantasy last in the current month.

MIDGETonSTILTS17608d ago

I’m so glad I didn’t buy this on sale, albeit now I have to get the dlc

CobraKai608d ago (Edited 608d ago )

I didn’t know Superhot was a non-vr game too.

Mr Logic608d ago

For those that read this, keep in mind that Superhot was a flat game that was later made into VR. It wasn't a VR game that was ported for more sales. Both are worth playing as the levels and scenarios are different in both versions.

The article states Tekken 7 might be the best fighter currently available on Xbox, but leaves out important information that it never takes advantage of the Xbox hardware. It never got any kind of patch/boost/upgrade for the more powerful Xbox consoles, meaning it still runs at 720p I believe, resulting in a very blurry look.

Truly wish more devs would respect their products and customers enough to address issues such as these.
