The upcoming Ghostbusters game has been a long time coming. Early last year, developer ZootFly poster demo videos incredibly reminiscent of Gears of War style gameplay. Copyright issues ensued. Then much later, Sierra confirmed they were working on the game instead. Then publisher Activision said they were dropping games, but Sierra said the game was still on.
Crazy, right? But if Sierra says they are still going through with it, then we'll have to take their word for it at the moment. Perhaps this one will work out too as Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis are attached as lead writers for the game.

It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
