Happy 25th anniversary, Kirby! App Trigger celebrates by revisiting Kirby's eight cutest Copy Abilities.
The number of Kirby games has grown year after year, but The Legend of Zelda is comparatively more barren on the Switch despite its success.
The Switch has: Breath of the Wild, Links Awakening Remake, Skyward Sword HD, Hyrule Warriors (1 and 2), Cadence of Hyrule, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and there's rumors that both Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD are being ported very soon as well as Breath of the Wild 2 on the way.
Not sure how LoZ is "comparatively more barren" when nearly the entire main franchise plus multiple spin-offs (the thing the author is complaining about yet they exist) are available to play this second. Sure, Kirby goes off the rails with how different each entry can feel, but pretty much each entry in the Loz series plays different and there's something for everyone. It's also harder to make spin-offs make sense with the franchise. The ones we've gotten have done that well, but it's limited.
Kirby also doesn't have the most consistent track record with spin-offs in terms of quality.
Speaking of TLoZ, wait until the next Nintendo Direct, there should be more remakes, Wind Waker and Twlight Princess, and also Metroid Prime remake, I need them 😁
Boss Level Gamer writes, "Kirby's Dream Buffet is like a multi-course meal where you have to sift through average meals before eating an award-winning meal. There's a lot to like but also a like to dislike."
BLG writes: "Kirby has been a Nintendo staple since he was first introduced on the Gameboy in 1992 so ranking the best Kirby games is no easy task. Created by Masahiro Sakurai and HAL Laboratory, the little pink puff-ball has made an appearance on every Nintendo console and handheld. While there are over 30 games with Kirby’s name attached, we’re only going to rank the 17 main storyline games."
