What Wii Owners Are Dying To Play This Fall?

"Many of Wii owners like myself have nothing to look forward to this holiday season. If you own a Wii that means you most likely own Wii Play, Wii Sports and probably Wii Fit with an occassional Mario title here and there. If you fancy yourself a hardcore gamer then you probably have "Zelda" ,"Metroid Prime 3? and maybe "No Need for Heroes." So if you have all of the following, what game should you be anticipating for the Nintendo Wii this holiday season?"

I already got my motion control fix with Wipeout HD. The sixaxis suprisingly controls well in Wipeout HD.

im selling my wii just before xmas rush shortages - i have had the wii for 2years now and im seriously not playin it - i like it , just not playin it anymore, i probably make more money back and then buy for cheaper when more hardcore games hit

I really don't know how the wii is selling how it is, MS and Sony are working hard to bring us a great line up of games this holiday season but yet the wii is most likely going to continue to be sold out.

Nintendo did a great job promoting heir console to the masses.
While Sony nor MS did anything to appeal the masses (yes we saw some commercials but none of them actually told the "casual" gamer what these consoles are about.)

While Nintendo just went with " we would like o play " and those kind of commercials that actually tell what the Wii is about. They kept it simple that even the most retarded person would get it.

Wii goes beyond " us ", Ps3 and 360 just don't have the same kind of audiences.

i have Megaman 9 and the VC(which will prolly get a GREAT game before the holiday)plus Nintendo has their secret press meeting being held october 2 which we will prolly see more from in terms of games that havent been announced yet.Wario looks like a great platformer,while we have a bunch of games coming right after the holidays that ill look for.
Ill have fun being a traditional gamer with these games while all you fanboys can complain over whos graphics look better.

I actually agree with you on that Product. Galaxy was more hardcore, than GTA4, when you beat the game with Luigi. The races against the shadows were good fun.
My only problem was that it was too easy to get to the standard ending with Mario and a handful of stars. They could have made that a bit trickier.

Looking forward to Megaman 9.

I'm happy for games to be easy enough for the mainstream to beat but with added challenges that force you to beat games on harder settings.
Like the trophy for the new Bioshock difficulty setting.

Goldeneye on 64 was cool. The best part was collecting the cheats. In particular the Invincibility cheat on 00 Agent Facility was a good one to get.

Trophies and achievements are cool on the PS3 and 360. They make you put some effort in and often force you to beat the harder dificulties.

Sad to say Wii has nothing much this fall. Even PS3 is outdoing them in terms of games this year.

It seems Nintendo Wii is the better console of this generation.With its low price point and stunning array of AAA games like Twilight Princess,Super Mario Galaxy,and Metroid Prime 3,its become obvious that Nintendo is leading this generation in quality.Added to that is the DS which features the best RPGs this gen like Blue Dragon Plus,Final Fantasy I-VI,Dragon Quest IV-IX,and Lunar Knights,Nintendo is the leader in sales and quality this generation.

Wii catalogue sucks, lets get this straight. If a person wants to keep playing good quality games they should either buy a PS3 or a Xbox(or both).
After Brawl, Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart, what else do we have?
I hate how Nintendo is forgetting about the "hardcore" playerbase this generation.

I have a PS3 and desperately looking for a great game...seriously with all that hype and fuss about "next-gen" consoles (get it right morons its CURRENT-GEN) i seriously hardly played on the Ps3.

It's all preference...HD or not if games aren't fun to a person, they are simply just not fun.

No matter what games you list or how many of them you list, you'll never be able to get the people around here that say that there are no good games coming to the Wii to believe otherwise, because they'll just contort their argument every which way in order to exclude as many games as possible.

Such and such game's a port, such and such game has terrible graphics, such and such game will have no replay, such and such game will have no multi-player, such and such game will have bad graphics, such and such game will probably only get a 7 from Gamespot, such and such game isn't TOTALLY HARDCORE, such and such game isn't triple AAA, such and such game bears a resemblance to another game and is therefore a copy and is therefore going to be bad, etc.

And even if you could nail them down with something concrete, they'll just say "So there's only (X) good games coming! The PS3 and/or 360 has WAY more!" and will then regurgitate some list of upcoming games for those consoles. Of course, such lists will be prone to Devil May Cry 4 or Mercenaries 2 Syndrome, wherein games are created more for the purpose of making awesome trailers and stuff than they are for making a game that's not riddled with glitches or lazy game design.

It's a losing battle.

Rhis is why fanboys look like idiots online, comments like this. No system sucks, they all have their own crowd, and the Wii just happenes to have the best crowd which includes hardcore casual and midcore, so its only natural that its leading the way this gen.

I really like my Wii and besides not having new cool games coming this fall I still like it more then I like my PS3.
The 4 best games I have played on this generation 2 games are exclusive from Nintendo Wii.

-Oblivion
-Mario Galaxy
-Metroid Prime 3

If next year the Wii brings me another 2 or 3 more uber games I will continue to be more then satisfied with it.
