well it is the same game, but with more and a bit of a different experience (on the go) so is it really a surprise?

But more has been added to it. and the have fixed the issues people has with the 1st. No battle arena mode. All DLC, 2 Weapons ect so for me if it was 9 out of 10 they just made it 10 out of 10 fixing the complaints.

I loved the Wii U (bought it twice in fact) but please stop with the elitist judgmental attitude. The Wii U wasn't an interesting enough product for the gaming market at large to consider buying it, and that's Nintendo's fault, not the people's.

Just be glad that the Switch is attracting new customers because that's a good thing for everyone, yoyrself included. More people = more incentives for devs to make games for the system. Welcome them with open arms instead of questioning their "loyalty" like a fanboy. Nintendo isn't entitled to our money, they have to earn it just like everyone else.

If Mario Kart 8 is surrounded by hype and is a great game then why did so few compared to the level of attention it's getting on the switch support it for the wii u? You throw out excuses for why few bought it, well if the game is great and is from nintendo that is reason enough to support it, yet?

Same with zelda. These are supposed to be system sellers...

There were many other great exclusives, but few bought it. And don't say the wii u wasn't interesting enough, it's mostly the same as a switch, except with the play anywhere ability.

8 million of the 14 million Wii U owners bought Mario Kart 8, It wasn't a question general curiosity but one of thinly veiled condescending superiority.

By August 2014, the game had sold eight million copies: seven million on PlayStation 3 and one million on PlayStation 4. It is the third best-selling PlayStation 3 game of all time.

So the third Best selling game on a console that sold over 88 Million still had over 1 million in sales on the Ps4.

So on an install base of 14 Million Wii U 8.3 million bought MK8 for an attach rate of almost 60%, and conversely on a install base of 90+ million ps3's and 4's, 8 million purchased TLOU/remastered for an attach rate of a measly 8%.

Ask yourself the same set of questions and when you come to the answers you may stop asking such redundantly obvious questions.

The Wii U sold poorly but managed to sell the same amount of MK8 copies as ND on a 90+ million console installed base.... Why did it not have a 60% attach rate? If it was surrounded by hype why did it sell relatively poorly?

Why did 60+ million Ps2 owners not support Sony with the Ps3? Some systems appeal and others don't but it doesn't mean people don't want the games on those systems..

Clearly why N4G wants Nintendo to go third party. A sad Love/Hate affair.
