Playtonic has the set the bar for modern game development, crowdfunded or not. They knew their audience, they listened to fans, and created a beautiful game. Playtonic didn’t just reinvent the wheel, they reinvented the game studio.
Ninja Theory's latest trailer for their highly anticipated narrative action-adventure Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is absolute cinema.

Playtonic raised the bar with a game that barely got 70 on metacritic? I really don't think this game was just the slightest bit of what people expected it to be. People thought this team filled with supposed people of the old Rare could develop a game which comes close to the N64 Rare Games but they clearly could not.
