You will have to find another game to get ripped off by.

mikeslemonade2574d ago

Lol halo 3 is overrated, I don't want that game at all much less a anniversary edition.

Mystogan2574d ago (Edited 2574d ago )

I'm actually glad they're not doing it yet.
343 needs to take a break from Halo, I want 343 to work on a new IP. And im slightly optimistic about it.

Patriot4Life2574d ago

343 was put together for the sole purpose of making Halo...the day Halo is no longer wanted by the gaming community is the day 343 will drip making Halo.

Same as Turn 10, the make For a games and love what they do.

slate912575d ago

I dont believe it! Im holding strong with my halo 3 remake prediction! Ahhhhh

2pacalypsenow2575d ago (Edited 2575d ago )

Of course not, it would make 343 Halo games look terrible Since Halo 3 was the last great Halo game and was not made by 343.

EatCrow2575d ago

MCC Collection says hello.
Your comment makes no sense.

2pacalypsenow2575d ago

Yeah and they fumbled that release

EatCrow2575d ago

@2pacalypsenow

Your point is still moot.
They released them. And the campaign and co op mode was not fumbled at all.

Multiplayer was a shame but its the first game to ever try anything of the sort.

annoyedgamer2574d ago

And MCC online remains broken to this day.

vallencer2575d ago

You try having 4 games with different net codes working on one disc. They should've just released 4 disc that you could install on your Xbox and not need to use again except for the last disc or just gave you download codes. The multi-player was the problem not the single player. Halo 5s multi-player is fantastic and is still played quite a bit today.

Mystogan2574d ago (Edited 2574d ago )

Halo 5, is a great Halo game. It has the best multiplayer in the Halo series. They messed up on the campaign a little bit. But they are definitely capable of delivering good campaigns as seen in Halo 4, which has the best campaign.
Before Halo 4, for me Halo did not have a compelling story. The level design maybe was a little better(not much) in prior halo games but in terms of story Halo 4 beats any halo game before it.

annoyedgamer2574d ago

Lol halo 5 may not be bad but it is far from the best.

EatCrow2574d ago

I agree. Prefer Halo 4 story over any of the other Halo's.
And Halo 5 does indeed have the best multiplayer by far. It is awesome.

@annoyedgamer
Your name says it all.
Halo 5 has the best multiplayer ever on a halo game. But the main campaign is missing story and co op.

Allsystemgamer2574d ago

Yea that's why halo 5 is the worst selling and dedicated fans didn't even buy it. Even the "pros" don't like it.

Mystogan2574d ago (Edited 2574d ago )

Halo 5 is the worst selling only because of the Xbox One marketshare.
And its not the worst selling by much.

Some idiot of AMD's (or hired) event management staff at an obscure press release, screwed up with a Halo 3 image instead of a newly released DX12 title (which the new RX series of the Polaris GPU's use as PR material wherever possible because they currently perform better than Nvidia's Pascal lineup in both DX12 and Vulkan, until Volta arrives) in the same franchise, Halo Wars 2, and the PC community loses their collective shits, as usual.

I have been wanting Halo 3 on PC, since the day it came out on Xbox 360. That's 10 years this September. Phil Spencer has been as clear as he could be, and so are Microsoft. Previous exclusives, that date years back, are NOT coming to PC. They are only looking forward. No Halo: MCC, Halo 2 Anniversary or Halo 3 / Anniversary. Only future Halo games in the Xbox Play Anywhere program will come to Windows 10.

Let it go.

Uglyday2574d ago

How does Halo Wars Definitive from the 360 just being released on Steam fit into that?

TheVigilanteCode2573d ago

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition was already out on PC (free pre-order bonus for Halo Wars 2 on the Windows store in Windows 10) and is exactly 2 months old as of today. It is getting a standalone release, untied from Halo Wars 2's pre-order as that game is already out, and is being out on 3 storefronts - Xbox One, Windows Store on Windows 10 and Steam.

Halo Wars on the 360, which you used in your rhetoric and not even the same build as the Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, is 8 years and 2 months old and did not release on Steam, Eindows Store on Windows 10 and will not, ever be.

Halo 3's promotional render during it's launch, which was used as a mistake here at the AMD event, doesn't mean jackshit because a Halo 3 remaster was not out on the Windows Store on Windows 10, 2 months ago as a pre-order bonus to some other game, nor does a Halo 3 remaster even exist in the first place.

I repeat what Microsoft and it's employees are saying for the past 2 years regarding Halo on Windows 10. "WE LIKE TO THINK GOING FORWARD. ONLY FUTURE HALO TITLES WILL BE BUILT FOR XBOX ONE & WINDOWS 10 IN MIND."

So, "Halo Wars: Definitive Edition", which was released 2 months ago on Windows 10 as a pre-order bonus, which is noe getting a standalone release on steam/Xbox One/Windows store on Windows 10, which is a completely different build from the 360, is not the smoking gun for your portbegging of Halo 3 on PC. It will NEVER happen.

Try again.

Microsoft Is Finally Ending Its Focus On Big Budget Gaming Nonsense

Back when the Xbox 360 launched, Microsoft pushed the big budget game as a differentiator. Following all the recent layoffs, it’s clear this strategy has run its course.

Einhander197236m ago(Edited 33m ago)

The Microsoft shill take on the Microsoft causing the death of big budget gaming...

The whole driving force for growth in gaming both technologically, creatively and financially was all nonsense, and it was definitely not because Microsoft ran the industry into the ground with obviously bad decisions and creating an unprofitable business model that massively disrupted consumer spending habits. /s

Ninja Theory trends on X as gamers fear for studio following Tango Gameworks closure

Following the closure of 4 studios, many are now worried for the future of Ninja Theory once Hellblade 2 is released.

How is it going to sell well when it's also releasing on gamepass 🤔

Sephiroushin4h ago

Meant better to sell the studio and not closing it 🤦🏻 not to sell more games….
and games are sold anyways, you can buy it on xbox (not recommended if you got gamepass) but many pc gamers prefer to buy on steam than deal with the xbox app or pc gamepass!

On a side note to OP, the sales of studios wont happen though, especially when they want to retain the IPs, and well nobody is gonna buy a studios without its IPs; the other publishers that want a certain dev from the studio that are closing on their team can try to grab them as soon as they see they notice of the studio.

RaidenBlack2h ago(Edited 2h ago)

@Sephiroushin
Well hypothetically speaking, Ninja Theory can be sold to Sony at a lower rate sans the Hellblade IP.
Sony can then welcome them to work on the Heavenly Sword IP, which they still own.
Will be a nice proposition for Sony who can continue to offer a God of War-like hack n slash in their portfolio via Heavenly Sword 2, whilst Cory Barlog & co. decides to take a break from the God of War IP & venture some other genres.
On top of that, Ninja Theory was also interested in a sequel to Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and such Sony can come to a deal with Namco Bandai regarding the Enslaved IP.

Lightning7722h ago

Because they're next come next year. HB2 won't hit some impossible metric within MS so they're getting axed in 2025. Leave gaming now MS.

XiNatsuDragnel14h ago

Ninja theory might as well be gone in 2025 at this rate

notachance5h ago

Every xbox studio is in danger now because there’s just no way they’re gonna rake in big money from game sales because of gamepass, even CoD was rumored to not come to gamepass because it would canibalize their sales number.

neutralgamer19923h ago

If they are smart they don’t put COD on GP day one. It’s one of the best selling games on yearly basis

Hofstaderman3h ago

Satya will make sure that doesnt happen. As you rightly put it; why kill the cash cow?

But then again, it is MS after all.....

-Foxtrot25m ago

Also if you punish a studio for releasing a great critically acclaimed game which won some awards then what chance does anyone have

Rynxie5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Ninja theory games were never big sellers. I could be wrong, but I doubt hellblade 2 will sell millions. I would rather they go independent and make heavenly sword 2.

solideagle5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

heavenly sword is Sony owned IP. this will never happen as original didn't sell enough...

Wikipedia: "In 2008, it was reported that a sequel to Heavenly Sword was in-development at SCE Studio Cambridge, but was canceled due to Sony no longer seeing it as a commercially viable product"
