Brent Lee of The Koalition writes: The latest figures from SuperData Research, a provider of market intelligence covering the global markets for everything that has to do with gaming, shows that the interactive entertainment business generated a massive $91 billion in revenues in 2016. What’s noteworthy here is that consumers spent a colossal $41 billion on mobile gaming, driven mainly by the runaway success of Pokémon GO and Clash Royale. It was closely followed by PC gaming that made $34 billion thanks to the continued success of League of Legends and the recently released Overwatch. One more key takeaway from their stats shows that virtual reality (VR) gaming, still in its infancy, was able to generate $2.7 billion in buyer spending.
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.

Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft are both still big sellers according to NPD numbers every month. I'll be very curious to see if Red Dead Redemption 2 either replaces GTA V or is listed alongside it once the game finally comes out.
Wii Sports is a surprise as it has been released only on Wii console. The rest are multiplatform.
I have never purchased any of these games.
That tetris though
