The Surge Is Now Gold, Supports 4K@30 or 1080P@60 on PS4 Pro; HDR Coming Later

Deck13's sci-fi action RPG The Surge is now gold. The developers confirmed that it will support dynamic 4K@30 or 1080P@60 on PS4 Pro, while HDR support will be added shortly after launch.

Its kind of sad to see third party studios pushing the PS4Pro forward instead of Sony themselves.

The funny thing is.... you say as tho every xbox one game is 900p, did you know there are 1080p games as well...
Xbox has all types of res 720p, 900p, 1080p, 4K upscaled and dont forget the weirder one like 792p. Lol...
But yeah games still played good and just as fun as any other.

Hopefully its good and a bit more technically sound than lords of the fallen. I really enjoyed that game except a few minor glitches. I like the idea behind it and after slaying Ni oh 3 times my skills should be ready to go.

This is why my Pro is for exclusives only. Rarely hitting 60fps at 4K, even when checkerboarded is a bit of a disappointment. No Scorpio for me though as my PC's are more powerful and I get all the games anyway.

The developer is free to use the Souls formula however they see fit. If they don't want online then that's fine, Lords of the Fallen didn't have online and it was fine.
