Tim Duncan Was Addicted to World of Warcraft

Duncan used to stay up til three or four in the morning, raiding with his World of Warcraft guild. Dustin Steiner talks about NBA star Tim Duncan and his addiction to everyone's favourite MMORPG World Of Warcraft.

Doesn't shock me at all. WoW is one of the most addicting games ever.

Lebron is 2nd of all time and will be the goat by the time he retires. Tim Duncan is irrelevant.

Tim Duncan didn't leave to Ring Chase, Tim Duncan Broke Miami's Big 3

BILL RUSSELL and 11 championship rings with the BOSTON CELTICS is the G. O. A. T. !!

mikeslemonade2570d ago (Edited 2570d ago )

Lebron never had to settle for less than 10 million to win a ring. Lebron never had a coach like Pop. And how many of those rings was Duncan the best player on the team? Many times it was Robinson, Parker, Manu, and Kawaii that were the best player on that team. Many times Duncan was the third best player as well.. Duncan, Bird, Kobe, Magic etc. had the most help in history. You give Lebron 80% of that help and he'd win it every year.

Lebron was the best for any team he played for.

@Bill Russel rings don't mean everything. Steve Kerr got about 3 rings, is he better than John Stockton or Steve Nash??

@Mike
Well, that's a dumb comment if I've ever heard one.
First of all, LeFlop has always played in a very weak eastern conference, second, his Finals record sucks, third, he keeps team hopping to get help getting championships.

mikeslemonade2570d ago (Edited 2570d ago )

haha please don't try me because I know more basketball than any of you here.

The teams he plays are so great right.. Well how come when he doesn't play this year the Cavs are 0-7. And i think since he joined CLE again they are 6-23 without Lebron. How did Love and Kyrie teams do?? They were like the 10th and 11th seed prior to Lebron Joining.

Compare this to GOAT, Michael Jordan, the year before MJ retired the first time the bulls won 58 wins.. then Scottie Pippen led the same team to 55 wins the next season.

You said his finals record sucks.. So you penalize Lebron for making it to the finals but MJ only made it to the finals 6 times. What was he doing before he made it to those 6 finals.. He was getting beaten and swept in the first round. Atleast Lebron made it to the finals himself with a team surrounded by Marshall, Big Z, Eric Snow, Palovic, and Larry Hughes. MJ never made it to the finals without an all star and top 50 greatest of all time Scottie Pippen.

Team hopping.. you act as those teams were that great. Lebron had to carry basically every team. Wade was only fully healthy for one season, that season they didn't win a ring. Bosh never fit in. Sometimes he would only get like 1 rebound per game. And the Cavs haven't stayed healthy for an entire year yet.

Player Effiecency.. When Lebron is off the floor the Cavs are a -2 points and When Lebron is on the floor the Cavs are +16. Comparitive to Kawaii Leaonard. He only makes the spurs 3 points better.

And lastly Lebron isn't even trying his hardest. The Cavs decide to rest Lebron and Kyrie for the last 3 games despite being tied with Boston for the first seed. Lebron is the only player on a playoff team that doesn't really try his hardest and he is once again having an all time year. His rebounds, shooting percentage, 3 pt percentage and assist are all up. Only his points lowered because he is trying to get Kyrie involved. The goal of this season was to turn Kyrie into a superstar but he isn't. Kyrie can't carry a team for long stretches, he just gets tired.

Lebron gets every call and constantly complains, he is not a good shooter and chokes in the clutch. He is not even better than Kobe. And calling Tim Duncan (arguably the best power forward to ever play) irrelevant proves that you do not know jack shit about basketball. He needed the refs to bail him out against the warriors, and for Drayond green to get kicked out on some total BS to win the title. MJ never teamed up with all stars, and Lebron should never even be mentioned in the same sentence with him. He also plays in a conference that is beyond weak. He doesn't even have the balls to enter the dunk contest, and bailed on his home town when things got tough.

There's some revisionist history in your recounting of NBA events. Even then, how can you begin to compare 3 different positions and 2-3 different eras of basketball?
At any rate, your answers about LeBron are summed up in the fact that the team and it's offense are literally built to compliment him. Take him out, and the team struggles. That doesn't mean that LeBron isn't great. It means that the Cavs are tied to him for success.
MJ isn't just considered the G.O.A.T. (which, by the way, he doesn't consider himself) by many because of rings, as you stated there are many people with many more rings. He's considered the G.O.A.T. because he epitomized the mainstreaming of the NBA. He took it corporate and global. He made kids in far reaches of the world "wanna be like Mike".
In the end, Bron will probably have his face on the Rushmore of the NBA. He will probably have close to or better stats (health willing) than MJ. However, it's close to impossible to have a greater impact than MJ. People will be chasing the Jordan legacy for a long, long time. Not because of stats or rings. But, because he endures beyond stats and rings.
As for Tim Duncan, he'll NEVER be irrelevant. HE is the prototype power forward. They could teach classes with using just his tape. Plus, he's connected to one of the best coaches in the history of the NBA.
