It's not like they're going to pay if you don't show them how you did it, then they'll close the backdoor that was found so it's harder to crack from then on (in an update).

I bet some random person that uses someone else's hack/crack will even report it if the amount is high enough.

Nintendo isn't the first company offering this
Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Oracle, PayPal .... pay money for people who inform them about exploits in their services (usually on Websites)
but they don't pay thousands for every exploits
for small exploits they pay less money and a lot of times they don't pay anything
for big exploits the bounty can reach $100K

I have Homebrew Channel on my Wii and it's more fun than the Nintendo Channel. IMO let users install what they want. I bought my Wii with homebrew in mind. I would love to have homebrew on my Switch when I get it.
