Square Enix just released the first episode of its series dedicated to the GO versions of Hitman, Tomb Raider / Lara Croft and Deus Ex.
Deus Ex Go is currently free on iOS and Android, this is part of the Stay Home and Play initiative by Square Enix. Below you will find the links to download the game as well as what you can expect from the turn-based puzzle. Square Enix Montreal has stated that Deus Ex Go will be free from 1 - 7 May 2020.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "The stealth genre is one that some would argue doesn’t even exist – many titles include stealth elements, but actually fit into one of a number of other genres like action, platformer, or third-person shooter. Ever since the breakout success of the Metal Gear franchise (in particular Metal Gear Solid), though, the genre seems on much more stable footing and it demonstrated that you can have a veritable blockbuster on your hands relying only on stealth mechanics as the main gameplay element.
In recent years we’ve seen other things like Assassin’s Creed, Hitman and Splinter Cell continue to push the genre forward, although it still has somewhat limited appeal. Thankfully, the Vita has a healthy selection of stealth games available (and even more with backwards-compatibility), meaning if you’re looking to do some sneaking on the go then you’ll be well served with the console."
For a while, there was a sizable difference between the quality of games on mobile devices and the quality of games on consoles or PC. As technology has progressed and the audience has expanded, the games available on mobile devices have changed and cell phones have become a viable option for gamers. This is partly because major publishers saw an opportunity and decided to squeeze their gigantic franchises into the portable market.
I feel as though mobile games will always suck because of lack of built in controller... I don’t care for iPhone Xs being more powerful than Switch, better graphics are worthless without a proper controller. (never mind the scarcity of quality games that aren’t cheap micro transactions filled crap games)
Not always... And often if the game is built around mobile it would be very interesting even with a controller. I play Minecraft with my 360 via usb adapter and it works pretty well but then you have to support the phone somehow... And if you need to take a controller and screen holder along might as well get a switch where your odds of getting full games with microtransaction gimmicks are way better.
