The Nintendo Switch eShop Is An Inexcusable Mess

The Nintendo Switch is a great console in need of a decent virtual storefront. Namely, a month out, the eShop still needs a lot of work.

Yeah, it does need work.
A way to save card numbers would be especially welcome, for those that always choose the "only pay what's needed) payment option when purchasing games.
Also, when are we getting some new damned themes?
That'd better be a thing soon: the option is there on Switch and people love it on 3DS.

The eshops one of those things that will permanently change, like the chart section just added. Agreed on the themes!

Expect a big Eshop update with themes and all the stuff 3DS has in Summer. Either after E3 or during.

I don't like storing my card details. Just shop around get some e-shop codes and buy them from somewhere that does rewards points ;) it's pennies but all adds up.

I think the store UI will likely change once there are enough games to do subsections like genres, SP, MP, DLC, demos, etc. There just aren't enough games to do any of that right now. They just added a Best Sellers section, so that should be an indicator that the store will be going through changes as we go along.

I don't understand why we can't save credit card information though. Like honestly why do I have to type it in every time I want to buy something? It's a big oversight.

Another thing. When I buy something, remove it from my wishlist. I have the game so it doesn't need to be there anymore.

Exactly you can't have a great store and nice menus and different categories when there are barely 1 games for each category. Wish list thing would be good but pretty certain I have to remove it myself on PS4 and that launched a few years ago now. It'll get added and better as time goes for month 1 🙌🏻🙏
27995;👍🏻. Been too busy nailing Horizon PS4 amongst others anyway I'll get into Zelda when I got a few days off back to back and binge ;) even tho I got Wii U version Mario Kart is the one for me. Great game but VC really needs to get added asap. 3ds will do me for now tho ;)

Yeah because Xbox marketplace on XB1 is a beauty... oh wait it's taken them 3/4 years to fix what wasn't broken on 360. Store was awful when I was using it Oct-Feb I heard they've updated it and wow it needed it. Switch has been out for all of a month and has about 10-20 games. I'm sure it'll get updated sure music will get added 🙌🏻🙄 more importantly Games. VC would be a massive help to pad it out with top notch classics. Mario Kart isn't far off but more to the point the store will get updated. Like Netflix will get added before end of the year.
