Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers drops on the Nintendo Switch on the 26th of May

I (Robin Ek, TGG) was just informed by Nintendo Sweden that "Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers" is set for a release to the Nintendo Switch on the 26th of May.

You don't have to play it with a single joycon, that just a convenience. You can use 2 pro controllers even in portable mode. And pretty sure your version didnt have new HD visuals.

Game looks great, cry us a river. Or just don't bother posting on the articles related to this Switch exclusive version if you're not interested lol. Go play it on the Megadrive.

first, SF2 on megadrive came out more than 10 years ago. in 2008 Super Street Fighter 2 HD remix came out to 360 and PS3.
i paid 15€ max for it back then and you pigeons are supporting the same game 10 years later for double price. you get a stupid hadooken 1st person mini game, but i guess it's a mode you will play heavily in portable mode with Pro controller as well?

I can wait; I have other fighters to play in the mean time. I also got my Dreamcast and Saturn working, so there's some older fighters I can play on there as well.

You are right for the most part but the community is dead unfortunately. I tried playing on PS3 several months ago and only seen 2 or so playing and it was very hard to get into a game. For this reason I would welcome this game to release on all systems. I'm on PC so this would be the 1st SF2 release on Steam which is much needed if you ask me. It's my favorite and only street fighter that I'm good at.and willing to play competitively.

You're right but if I want to play street fighter 2 competitively today, which I do, what choices do I have? I'm on PC and don't have an option to play sf2 online and if I was on PS4 or Xbox One, I still wouldn't have an option. Even if you go back to PS3 or Xbox 360, sf2thdr is dead... so this is why I would welcome a sf2 release on all current consoles and PC.

That makes us two, and the Switch console is anything but a "stable" console (not it suffers from overheating problems even when it's docked, someone even managed to bend the consol...Another one broke it into two pieces).

Sadly enough, I only own the Dreamcast -_- I'm trying to find a nice Saturn console though. Go for it man ;)

I got my Saturn from a gift for modding an older system, and fortunately it worked. I bought Fighters MegaMix and Darkstalkers 3 for it, and waiting on Street Fighter Zero 3 to drop in price so I can import it since I was told it's "the go to" version over the other versions (I already own a RAM cartridge). On the Dreamcast, KoF 99 Dream Match just arrived, and I've been playing it since I need a break from Capcom vs SNK.

So in short, I have plenty of fighters to play. I don't NEED Ultra SF2, but it would be nice to play it.

This must be the type of game nintendo meant when they said they would have third party support... I.e. games from last gen and beyond or cartoon games like yooka lay lay or rime. No actual AAA current gen 3rd partys...

Cant wait to see at the end of the year what they charge for skyrim... And how it stacks up graphically.
