Join ScreenCritics Madison as they revisit the hugely divisive 'Shadow the Hedgehog'. What did you think of this game when it released?
Shadow the Hedgehog, even 20 years later, remains one of the SEGA's most unhinged and comically edgy titles ever.
Sean Chiplock voiced Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 11 and detailed how a character from Shadow the Hedgehog inspired him to go so dark.
In some games the villain has a point, and letting them win would have been the wiser choice - for The Greater Good. Game Luster’s Nirav Gandhi makes us feel bad for winning by bringing us ten of the best villains that really should have won instead.
Let's not revisit that game please.
I think this was a significant moment in gaming history. This is when we realized a large sect of gamers would dislike a character just because they are black. The hate and vitriol tied to this character is unbelievable.
I will pray for you good sir. That game is a lot to stomach in story and game mechanics lol.
