We had a moment to sit down with producer Louis Lamarche to discuss how Shaun White Snowboarding plans on dominating the action sports world in 2008.
Q: There have been a fair amount of snowboarding games in the past; SSX, Amped, 1080, Pro Snowboarder and the like. What did you set out to do differently than those that have come before Shaun White Snowboarding?
Louis Lamarche: Everything that based our design on was the actual experience of snowboarding, and the fact that it's a community sport more than anything else. Nobody snowboards alone. Nobody snowboards on a slope; they snowboard on a mountain. So we got out of the mindset of "let's make a game," and focused on making an experience."
