UK Retailer Hilariously Uses Xbox One Cases For Nintendo Switch Games

A UK retailer named ASDA is allowing people to pre-order the Nintendo Switch and its games. The only problem is that they are using Xbox One game cases.

They wouldn't have them. Asda haven't stoked Nintendo games since the Wii. they pretty much skipped the wiiu. likewise Ps3. they're a super market, owned by Wallmart now that i think about it.

That'll get more customers over to the XBox One section to look at their games. Guess Nintendo was too cheap to send preorder cases to retailers. Not surprising. Oh well, this actually benefits XBox One. Customers come it looking to preorder Switch games are then sent over to the XBox One section. Well done ASDA.

@Xander LMAO! Did you actually read what you posted? What a SAD list! The overwhelming majority of those games are multiplats, and some of those "exclusives" can be played on PC. If anything, that list makes me glad I didn't WASTE any money on that sad little console.

Already have over 40 games for my XB1 and that doesn't even include the GWG or B/C games. I have over 70 B/C games I still need to install. The system obviously has plenty of games and more will come out in 2017. All the games don't need to be exclusive to be enjoyable. No one cares if you bought the game console or not. I'm glad I didn't buy a Ouya or Steambox either. Think anyone cares? lol!! Gotta love dumb fanboy comments. My XB1 and PS4 is all I need right now.

The problem with "renewable energy sources" is that currently they're not consistent enough or economically viable to develop to meet the growing demand, especially in the UK. The US is big enough with different climates and resources (including newer resources like Shale Gas, technology now could believe it or not, potentially remove the need for Saudi oil (yeah, you read that right. Oil, the "black gold" which America loves so dearly but allowed the Saudis leverage in world decisions using America as their enforcer, now with Shale Gas it has given America leverage)) and America has a growing large network with renewables to allow production to meet demand. The UK doesn't have that consistent level of climates to link together and provide the power to meet demand, even with "fossil fuels" the majority of it is imported (oil from North Sea (but running out apparently) and abroad like Saudi, Nuclear from mainly France (Sellafield not enough), Hydroelectric is not being produced enough (also has a problem of needing energy to bring the water back up the dam, and affects the environment), Coal is now imported (but thanks to EU directives coal plants are being shut down unless they start running biomass combinations like Drax or install Flue Gas Desulfurisation (thanks IUPAC Americanising for introducing the "f" to replace the "ph") which is cost ineffective (due to size being more than the size of the actual plant)). The UK does have a supply of Shale Gas but only for estimated 10-20 years which would not be economically viable atm. The Climate Change Levy is not enough to sustain the development of renewables to meet the growing demand in the UK which is why renewables are a big hassle to develop.

This is disgusting. I went into ASDA last night right you are never going to believe this. When I was walking down near where they keep the fresh bread. They had on a peace of paper and on this bit of paper was a picture of 2 loafs of bread. Underneath the picture it said buy 2 for £1.50.

But because am really stupid and got very confused. I didn't know weather it meant I was able to buy 2 pictures of bread for £1.50. Or 2 loafs for £1.50.

Good job I didn't go into the entertainment isle. I would of attempted to to pre-order Zelda for the Xbox One.

Now that I have finished being sarcastic. How is this news again? Or hilariously funny? They simply didn't have switch boxes or even any spare DVD boxes to use. So they just used what they had. Just means they have not had any poss sent out and want to start pre selling. Nintendo are not great with pos. I remember getting promotional stuff for games 2 weeks after launch. Talk about throwing money away, lower game prices by killing all the pointless marketing or at least a big part of it.

The problemis, they're setting themselves up for a shitstorm of returns/refunds. The average Asda customer is unlikely to know the difference between Xbox One and Switch.
