Is Skylanders dead? That’s yet to be determined, but one thing is certain: Activision Blizzard believes that it may have a few big cards yet to play in its hand.
Take a look at the rise and fall of Toys-To-Life games and see the magic it brought into everyone's home with games like Skylanders.
In theory, the idea of using physical toys to complement video games seems completely bulletproof. Who wouldn’t want to immerse themselves in virtual lands all while having an actual toy to accompany them throughout their journey into the unknown? Players’ imaginations know no bounds, and that’s exactly what toys-to-life games are all about—they bring toys to life. What could go wrong, right?
The Activision CEO on rescuing Call of Duty, re-launching Destiny's and what comes next for Skylanders.
Of course gamers are a part of their creative process.. creatively finding new ways to milk them.
He meant "revenue process" ... :) ... I for once not buying any CoD crap right after Modern Warfare and sticking to it.
No shit but we are apart of financial success or failure I certainly hope you haven't forgotten that Eric.
The back burner...seriously we don't need these games anymore and even if we did they don't need Spyro
Best thing they can do is let the franchise be, bury it and then next year if the Crash remasters are a huge hit get to work on a Spyro the Dragon Remaster trilogy.
In the bin
Maybe they can use some of the main skylanders(the popular ones) to make stand alone games, i used to have fun when i started playing with my nephew, but after the 3th game, all i see is a boring slow moving characters with linear levels which you cant explore most of them because you have to buy that specific character, specially after playing games like R&C(ps4). Cant wait to play Skylar & Plux.
hm maybe a single player open world rpg where you make your own character and explore the world of skylanders and maybe have to go through skylanders school. then take quests from the actual skylanders. implement skill trees that you can specialize in.
