I thought the vehicle controls were spot on. Did you try to hang a curve at high speed going downhill in a suburban?
It does what it should. The vehicles actually have weight to them. I was surprised at how good the vehicles handled.
You can always argue variety in any open world game.
The AI does need some tweaking.

Having played TW3, Far Cry, Infamous etc., I have come to love a few things about open world games...and hate a few. I love exploration like Skyrim in which you can go anywhere and explore and find lore and new items and enemies. I love how CDPR was able to craft a main story alongside fully fleshed out side quests that meshed with and altered the main story itself. The hunts acted as the semi-repeatable actions that still had some variation. Love how both Skyrim and the Witcher allow you to play the game how you want.

I hate repeatable quests that ruin immersion. It was so bad in Infamous and Far cry that I couldn't finish. You can only climb so many towers and clear villages before you wanna scream! It's lazy developing.

I love proper progression and gear, and while I prefer areas with stronger "off-limits early" areas, Fallout 4 did well to level enemies with you but only to a certain point...a good mix. I love filling a world with better weapons and armor etc.

So I hope to see GR as something more akin to TW3, or Fallout than Infamous or FC. Now, I loved so much of Skyrim and the city was beautiful but doing the same 5 quests to clear a zone is absurd!

It's never going to be like Skyrim. Skyrim is incredible when it comes to exploring & just wondering into an interesting story. This is more like Far Cry template on a GR game which I'm fine with. This is a shooter not an RPG though it does have a progression system that is definitely welcome. Every open world has a game play loop but as long as the loop is good & fun then it's alright. When people don't have fun & it feels like a chore they call it repetitive. This is a GR shooter game so I wouldn't expect Skyrim levels. Do you go in during the day or at night? Silent or violent? There was enough variety in the story missions I got to play in the beta. When playing co-op & on our way to a mission I found that the journey to somewhere could turn into unexpected fun whether it be a convoy or just running into some enemies. I loved that about it.

Gamepass has changed everything. Phil, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for Gamepass. I just bought 50 years worth of subscription and I'm so happy.

Riiight! Thanks to GP I've discovered hundreds of indie fillers I would've never known about otherwise. Best part: team Xbox has discovered how great walking sims and interactive movies really are! And EA Play? Love me some 4 year old sports games!! Why sub up though? Just let MS auto renew that incredible $14.99 a month value. It's so easy!!

Gamepass is just so amazing. Adding EA play to it brought the service to a whole nother level. Phil Spencer has the brightest mind in gaming. By far.....
