"Ninja Theory jumps into VR. Check out our Dexed PSVR review to see how their brand of action translates." -PSLS
A look at the PlayStation VR and what titles are currently available.
Keep the games coming! Currently I'm enjoying the heck out of Rigs and Farpoint. Will soon pick up Battlezone and Super hot...Want to get RE7, but scared lol. So many great games already, and so many more to come.
Ninja Theory have brought us such amazing games as Devil May Cry, Heavenly Sword and the most recent Hellblade to our lives. Can they make the transition to VR with the same success?
Another virtual reality title, another game that feels like a tech demo—only this time it is from Ninja Theory and costs $10. Yay?
Ummm if the author thinks Dexed feels like a tech demo, then my question to them would be: have you ever actually played a tech demo or are you just throwing a term around that you picked up in Internet forums?
I remember when Tomb Raider 2 was announced I got to play a tech demo of it on PC. You know what that tech demo consisted of? All of the level map was either white or grey to show you where different platforms were, only Lara and animals in the level had color and textures, and there was no end to it (you couldn't even die if you tried) because THAT was a tech demo.
I own Dexed. It's hardly a tech demo. It plays like Rez combined with Child of Eden. The gameplay is solid and forces you to be very ambidextrous. I'd give it 7.5/10 (the only reason I'd rate it that is cause of its length). The graphics (color pallet, art direction, enemy character models, level design) are all very impressive for a VR title.
I swear "game journalism" is such a joke where the set up it buzz phrases and the punchline is ill-informed opponions.
