Resident evil 7 is best played with the psvr in my opinion. Its so immersive that i cant wait for a lot more AAA games to be released with psvr playability option. After playing resident evil 7 on psvr im not able to play it on a normal tele.

if you are completely new to vr prepare to be completely blown away, scary games hit a completely brand new plateau in VR, I thought silent Hill was bad back in the day but VR puts you in a game like no other experience has. enjoy but prepare to poo 💩

If you want a truly terrifying experience, Resident Evil 7 in PSVR mode will most certainly hit all the right spots. So intense, hearing Jack's footsteps behind you and looking over your shoulder to see how close he is. Best experience in VR to date for me.

Im jealous, i cant get over the motion sickness which puts me off playing it in VR. Its the only game which has really hit me with it.

Totally understand. I had motion sickness first time using PSVR, especially with Robinson where you have to stand to play but after a few attempts it subsided and I could play for hours.

Resident Evil 7 you can sit and play, there's no need to stand.

Just got my psvr on Friday and so far the only game that made me motion sick was the Scavengers Odysee mini game in VR worlds. I felt a little uneasy playing Driveclub so I played some other games and when I tried DC a few hours later I was fine. There's definitely an adjustment period for some people.

Use the grid lines in the options menu. That helped me out alot in the demo. Haven't tried the main game in vr since I dont have the room for it anymore. :'(

What settings are you guys using to avoid motion sickness? Taking the VR filter off helps with better graphics, but I'm finding it difficult to get the camera options right for me. Have you changed camera speed?

it's gonna be trial and error for everyone, I fortunately don't get any motion sickness ever so I can't say but from what I have seen and read it's more of a getting used to it thing over time for the bad sufferes.

PSVR is really bringing out a new type of fanboy. Even with how Kinect, Move, and the Wii launched, I've never seen so many fanboys trying to get people to stop buying a product. I've seen all the downplaying and goal post moving comments in the past, but some of you people on this site take your loyalties to a plastic box way too far.

It's great that VR is finally on shelves, but to celebrate 88,000 copies of the most anticipated VR title after 1 week of sales isn't exactly warranted. How many copies of Rigs did Sony sell when they pulled the plug on the developer? Keep in mind that was also first party. The truth is VR adoption has been slow since it first launched almost a year ago. I don't think dividing the community by elevating people to "new type of fanboy" status is the right way to go. If you want more people to try VR, maybe you should explain to the uneducated why you feel VR today is worth it.

Personally I don't feel the entry cost on any platform is worth it with the experiences available now and in the next year or so. I do feel it's a great platform and much more immersive than anything to date, but it's not quite where I want it to be with both hardware and software. After trying all three major platforms I'm waiting for the next gen of hardware before committing. If the right software hits I might change my mind, but the slow sales to me suggest new hardware will release sooner rather than later.

Yeah kev. I do remember that, but it wasn't like this. With motion controls, you had the main crazy fanboys (small amount of users) telling you to not buy a specific one, but mainly people bundled in all motion controls and either liked them or hated them.

With VR it seems like there's the small group that hates all VR, a small group that likes VR, and a huge group that hates just psvr. How many articles on the past 2 weeks have come out saying PSVR is doomed without mentioning Oculus, Vive, and cell phone VR (even though psvr outsold both oculus and Vive)??

financial obligations that take priority over PSVR.

2- you probably dont even own a PS4

First off, there are 54 million plus PS4's sold, not 40 million.

Second, 88,000 players experiencing Resident Evil in VR doesn't mean there are ONLY 88,000 that have the game AND PS4. Stop assuming that ever person that has PSVR went out and bought resident evil.

10% of everybody who owns this one single game are playing it in VR, so that's pretty cool. Plus, not everybody likes horror games, especially in VR.

There's nothing really conclusive about these numbers except for the fact that almost a hundred thousand people are playing it like this and the majority of them seem to be enjoying the experience.

If anything you seem to be the one that needs to open your eyes instead of jumping to conclusions.

I want more of this. I can't get enough of the playing this game in VR. It's honestly mindblowing and not just cause it looks nice. I was able to look AROUND things (in ways you cant do with the sticks) and see details and stuff, it really feels better than a "gimmicky" VR game. It doesn't go out of its way to "Impress" you with what its doing. Trust me there are plenty of times where things get real wonky looking and break the immersion. All in all if we can get games that have both VR and Non-VR support the way RE7 does it, VR will be a big success.

That being said, I do wish some VR only games could be played outside of VR. (Looking at rigs)

I'm one of those 88,000 and glad I am. RE7 was my make or break title for PSVR. If it sucked, I was trading it in. It doesn't. I have REZ, Eagle Flight, Robinson's and Hyper Void. I platinum(ed) REZ and the other 3 were...eh. RE7 brought me back. I'll probably tire of RE7 just as Far Point comes out. If you haven't gotten a chance to try it but you have a means to, do it. It's awesome
