Microsoft reminds me of Oscorp! What you hiding? My spider sense is tingling

I think a new Battletoads and Conker game is on the way. Don't know about Jet Force Gemini. I still have the a sealed copy of this N64 game. I'd love to see a sequel to this and Kameo.

CocoaBrother2646d ago

Conker needs to make a return in its original form; not that Project Sparks or AR tech demo form.

ShottyatLaw2646d ago

License it out to Insomniac. Use the Sunset engine to make an open world sandbox game that emphasises platforming over shooting. Make the game world a GTA meets Zootopia hybrid where boss battles and set pieces keep the action movie themes from Bad Fur Day.

XXanderXX2644d ago (Edited 2644d ago )

No licencing , they need to hire them to develop it for Scorpio and Xbox one S. That would be great

ShottyatLaw2644d ago

Sure. I meant it in the way Nintendo has allowed third parties to develop titles using their licensed properties. Capcom and Zelda type of thing.

Conker was not in the same category of platformers as Mario 64 or Banjo IMO. But the satire and boss fights were very unique. And I would say, but for the technology limits of the time, Conkers game world was already open. Plus, causing mayhem in a city full of animals sounds fun to me.

gangsta_red2644d ago

Don't know though, Conker was a product of his time. Would his style of rude and crude humor even be funny to the youth or even adults of today?

isarai2646d ago

They wouldn't even be the same anymore, most if not all the core talent have left to work on yooka-Laylee.

PhoenixUp2645d ago

Most of the devs that helped develop Rareware's titles during its golden years already left to other studios

Reviving these franchises won't have the same magic or appeal.

XanderZane2644d ago

The founders of Naughty Dog who created Crash and Jax & Daxter aren't with Naughty Dog either and their games have turned out just fine.

PhoenixUp2644d ago

Those situations aren't even comparable.

Naughty Dog has a better business structure that continues to show their worth. Rare has yet to produce a title as good as the games in their golden years

Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.

Pc gamers will take this as an excuse to pirate things

KyRo2d ago

I'm not sure why you're getting disgrees. Whilst not all PC gamers are petty, an awful lot of them are lol

Crows902d ago

Entirely untrue. Not any more petty than console gamers. The only large difference is console gamers don't have much of a choice.

Michiel19891d 15h ago

Not sure why you're getting agrees. an awful lot of console gamers are overemotional twinks ready to go to war over a plastic box, I'll take being a pc gamer then.

Speaking about overgeneralizing much.

"X" type of gamer conversations are cringe

qalpha2d ago

Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.

Inverno2d ago

Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?

DustMan2d ago

You can refund any game you've purchased as long as it hasn't been longer than two weeks, and you've played less than 2 hours. I wish they would change it to 3 hours because some RPG's have so much exposition that you may only get an hour total of complete gameplay. That's my only knock on it. I've refunded plenty of stuff I was just curious to try. I typically stay away from Early Access titles which are the only ones affected by this policy change.

Inverno1d 23h ago

Apparently early access doesn't count, only complete games with a play early preorder bonus.

Gaming4Life19812d ago

I definitely know if I want a refund in 2 hours.

SegaSaturn6691d 15h ago

I never liked refunding anything. Even if a film is bad, i dont want my money back. Sometimes things just aren't for me, and it's not the creator's fault necessarily.

Gaming4Life19811d 10h ago

I feel you and i have never walked out on a bad movie cause I payed my money. I also don't refund games cause I'm a gamer and I know what to buy lol. I think having a digital refund is great.

Cacabunga2d ago

Hopefully doesn’t take them a complete gen to release it

TheColbertinator2d ago

Good. Something not boring, not one of those "make your own game" crap and also on Steam would be nice.

Stopac2d ago

I too like to look for things in the wrong places.
