I saw the new movie and well I'd rate it a 6/10. I went in knowing what I'd expect. 2nd best movie aftet the 1st imo. Sure it has some stupid sh*t, poor editing and no character, but it's still a guilty pleasure like all poor movie adaptations that suck. Just shut down your brain and watch the action fold. And I'd rather watch a meh movie of a franchise than a by the numbers meh movie like xXx or monster trucks.

I enjoyed this series. Though def went downhill after the second. This is one movie series I couldn't wait to be over so that they can remake it lol.

I just saw the movie and it gave me a headache and makes me feel dumber for knowing every narrative inconsistency the movie pulls and how much it feels like a movie made by someone who never saw any of the other 5 movies and was just given posted notes as a mere helpful reminder of what the story is of the series. I hate it so much and I am relieved it's finally over or at least hope it is and that they never make another movie in the franchse just period no more, not even a reboot.

The resident evil movies have all been a major disappoint for me. The first was ok, but the ending scene where she stood in the city with the shot gun, now that captured the atmosphere and tone I wanted in an RE movie but unfortunately they never captured it and three films went in a wacky OT direction.

I'd say the second movie directed by Alexander Witt was the one that sucked the less, personally. It at least tried to resemble the game (RE3) to a certain extent.
