Twinfinite Writes: 2017 is looking a little sparse for Microsoft's lineup at the moment, but there's still a chance for it to be an impressive year for the Xbox One.

Tencent is set to buy Sumo Group in a deal worth $1.27bn (£919m), the companies have announced.
Tencent is really buying up everything. I'm surprised everyone is selling to them like this.
I honestly thought ms or Sony would have nabbed them, seeing as they have worked for both on their respective ips, colour me surprised.
at this point anything ms releases this year will be good news to xbone gamers. Even if they announce games at e3, with their recent track record only prayers can make them actually release the games
Halo 6 in 2017? I'm almost one hundred percent confident the game is slated to release in 2018 and, it will be announced at this E3. The Phantom Dust Remaster and State of Decay 2 could release before E3. I think Crackdown 3 and Sea of Thieves might release in the summer. Forza 7 seems all too obvious for a fall release, assuming it gets announced between now and E3.
I personally think, Turn 10 should take a break from Forza, gamers generally prefer Forza Horizon over the main title. Turn 10 should do something else, maybe an arcade style racer, or a reboot of Ralisport Challenge, Project Gotham Racing or Quantum Redshift. Hopefully MS announces at least 3 new titles (that aren't Halo,Forza or Gears), with one releasing this year.
I'm hoping the Perfect Dark reboot is true, as I would like to see a resurgence in old IPs. MS has brought a healthy amount of new IPs to the table, but none have made big impact, with Ori being an exception. I personally think MS rebooting old franchises, could be successful. Older IPs would appeal to older gamers and essentially be 'new' franchises for younger ones.
Forza 7 is all but confirmed this year. Will be announced at E3 or the Scorpio conference (if there is one) and an AUG/SEPT release as usual.
Crackdown 3, again they're saving for the Scorpio reveal. Will release this year.
Battletoads reboot. 2nd Rare Team. This year's E3 and fall release.
Sea of Thieves. Might release right after E3 because it's F2P.
Phantom Dust HD Remaster (note that this is not the cancelled reboot/remake that got a CGI trailer 2 years ago at E3, but the HD remaster of the 1st game that was out back on the original Xbox). Spencer and Loft is, both confirmed that the game us still under development and is indeed coming really well.
State of Decay 2, with full fledged co-op this time. Fall '17.
Microsoft funded indie titles like Cuphead and Below.
Unless they pull some surprises at E3 this year, that's all I could think of them realistically this year. Batlletoads might have 3-4 month delay but not outright canned like Scalebound, because they own the studio here.
Halo 6 definitely won't be released this year. They tend to announce that a year ahead of time then over show demos of the story and more understandably whatever new Multiplayer mode they are promoting. Crackdown will probably be year next year because of Scorpio.
