1UP: Swords and Soldiers First Look Preview

De Blob has earned a lot of hype for its vibrant visual style and numerous Katamari Katamari comparisons, but the Wii game -- courtesy of publisher THQ and developer Blue Tongue -- is based on a student project from the core members of the recently formed Ronimo Games. Based in the Netherlands, the student programmers created the original PC project for the city of Utrecht, which was in the midst of a rebuilding process. The original de Blob allows you to roll the paint-covered titular blob around a re-creation of the city's rail station, showing how the city would look one decade into the future.

Swords & Soldiers (Nintendo Switch) Review | Cubed3

Switch is quickly becoming the go-to home for indie titles, but it's also receiving a fair amount of remasters of titles from yesteryear. The latest is Swords & Soldiers, an RTS/tower defence from a decade ago. It's not Swords & Soldiers's first foray into the world of Nintendo, with the original appearing on Wii U, back in 2014, followed by a sequel a year later thanks to Kickstarter. Now the original is getting a surprise release on Nintendo hybrid platform.
