"I have been waiting for years for Nintendo to return to their former glory and honestly thought that the Switch would be the console to turn their fortunes around. Unfortunately it seems that Nintendo still have a lot to learn to compete in today’s market."
James Hobbs from Gameondaily shares his thoughts on the Nintendo Switch and why is he left disappointed
Microsoft & Xbox have shut down Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks to lay off more workers, insinuating that they're not in the game anymore.
They're headless for a long time because closing tango isn't exactly a good move
Everyone's acting now that game companies care about games and Xbox is committing the Ultimate betrayal, they are all like this and you have just been quiet about it for far too long
I wonder if Microsoft do pull out of the console market that it might open the door for valve to relaunch the Steambox. Competition is good for the industry but Microsoft don't even seem to be trying anymore.
“Your game has won some pretty significant awards and is a show piece for where we want to go in the future.”
1 hour later.
“We’re gonna have to let you go. You can’t cover our 100 billion dollar acquisition. Oh and take your awards too 👍🏾”
The Xbox brand is expanding, as an Xbox mobile game store is opening this coming July where Microsoft will brings its "first-party portfolio."
“Bond adds that they will start on the web”
This will go nowhere.
Nice knowing you Xbox. This is what happens when the house never gets cleaned.
The only this MS is expanding is the amount of feculence it sprays on everyone who just want to enjoy gaming and make games.
The best thing MS can do for the gaming industry is leave and never return.
One modder produced an unofficial, modern-day take on the Game Gear.
Well I've just preordered it. I have a Wii U so could play Zelda on it but I wanna play it mobile.
But the prices of those controllers and peripherals...what a farce!!
And that online system better be great. Luckily we get to test it out for free but if it's anything like what it is now, FORGET paying for that crap.
I'm definitely getting one but not at launch. That controller is pricey but that Zelda looks amazing. According to new info the game runs 1080p/60fps docked and 900p/60fps undocked. I need that game.
i like the look of it but gonna hang on for black friday or cyber monday
Me either
Where are the fanatics and fanboys to defend the Switch, now?
I called this after the very first reveal of this console. When I saw that it's running on a Tegra X1 SoC I was told I knew nothing about what I was talking about. The console would be more superior than an Xbone.

I said games wouldn't be simply ported to the Switch due to the architecture difference, I was told I know nothing about what I'm talking about. Well look at Skyrim not being the remastered version... It's a Switch specific version.
I said the battery power for mobility will probably be similar to the Wii U gamepad... well you're looking at 2-6 hours of battery life depending on the game. What they really mean is indie or VC games will run about 6 hours while AAA titles will probably go 2 - 3 hours. Hope it's a short flight.
I said Nintendo needs multiplatform games to compete with the libraries of its competitors as well as its exclusives. It's using the same third party support we've seen on the Wii U at launch. It's always strong at first but once sales don't bring a return on investment from these devs guess what, Wii U all over again.
So where are these mentally challenged fanboys now? Defend this console with your bull sh*t like usual. Be Nintendo enablers instead of trying to make them change their business structure that hasn't been working for them except for the lightning in a bottle Wii.
