Top One Sh*ttiest website: Jimquisition.

He's definitely a polarizing figure but I wouldn't call his site or work shitty. He calls it the way he sees it and doesn't apologize for it, and I find that refreshing. He's also very intelligent and it comes through in his work.

thorstein2676d ago

"He calls it the way he sees it" and "He's also very intelligent."

No. This is Jim Sterling. You must be confused. He was fired from Destructoid and another (forgot the name but it was one of the bigs.) Now he sits in his mom's basement and records videos.

He has been caught lying on this site already and the story was failed. You may not remember but he claimed that he was DDOS'd and wrote an article about it. Problem was, he wasn't. A simple search revealed that it was up and running when he claimed it wasn't. There are very simple webbased sites that can show this.

"Intelligent." Again, I am pretty sure you are confused. He has a high opinion of his own intellect, but he is hardly intelligent. Compared to many, many gaming journalists, he is more intelligent than they are, but that doesn't make him intelligent... it makes him king of the dunces.

The Jimquisition is still a thing?

I can't tolerate Sterling's shtick. It' so immature and hackneyed. He is certainly passionate about games but I find him to be insufferable.

*Edit* I was going to say that he's way too old to act like this until I looked up his age. HE'S ONLY 32! I though that he was in his 50s. I'm not kidding.

MasterCornholio2680d ago

Being overweight can make you appear older than you are.

higgins782680d ago

Actually, it's usually quite the opposite.

obidanshinobi2680d ago

I like him, he can be more honest than games journalists because he doesn't depend on advertising money from games publishers.

Kokyu2680d ago

Love watching and reading his stuff lol. Thank god for Jimquisition.

feraldrgn2680d ago

To be fair, Jim getting queasy during VR does not make them bad games, some people can't handle VR without getting sick while others can.

Junebug2680d ago

I like how he did Quantum Break/Uncharted 4 Breakdown Reconstruction threads for those salty GameFAQs cis scum that lost their s*** over nothing. Haha

OldGuyStillGaming2680d ago

He's a moron but his list is pretty spot on

thorstein2680d ago

You needed to stop at the word moron.

Mighty No. 9 and Mega Man 11 are two games that tried to fill a very big gaming hole, and the story behind it all is even more interesting. So which game wore the Mega Man dress better? Jason Capp is here with some retrospective thoughts upon his 2022 playthroughs.

Lol, I literally said that out loud when clicking on this article.

VersusDMC637d ago

Only tried the demos for both and mighty 9 looked atrocious. Megaman 11 was fun and polished. Never played both full versions but will see it they are on PS Extra when i get home.

Mostly get my megaman fix playing the azure gunvolt games and spin offs. And Maverick Hunter X on my Vita.

VersusDMC637d ago

Just tried Mighty No 9 again on PSExtra...graphics are atrocious and taking down enemies by dashing into them feels so hollow.

Star Fox Zero, Was it Really That Bad?

Has time been kind to Star Fox Zero? Does the game have any redeeming qualities that are worthy of revisiting? Should it be considered for a port to the Switch? Was it really that bad?

Haven't played it since it came out, but I really enjoyed it. Can't tell if that's just nostalgia-tinted glasses, or if I actually consider it a good game though lol.

Vits915d ago

It's a mediocre game that reuses ideas, scenarios, characters and moments from previous ones. Paired with one of the worst control methods that I had the displeasure of using.

CptDville913d ago

Those controls. Boring and frustrating at the same time. Only with co-op they were bearable, but co-op was restricted to finished levels.

SeTTriP914d ago

Yes couldn't finish it it was so boring.

MissAubrey913d ago

controls made me stop playing also what good is a 65inch tv when you have to look at a tiny Wiiu tablet.. same with kirby & the rainbow curse..

Einhander1971913d ago

No it was great, just the control scheme spoilt things really. The wii u screen was not needed for it really

I’d rather Star Fox Assault be brought to Switch with online multiplayer instead

Teflon02963d ago

Finally, someone who knows about Assault. Best Star Fox Multi-player imo.

Neonridr963d ago

or a Star Fox 64 remaster instead.

deadfrag963d ago

Platinum Games wants to many things but sadly it does not show nothing new for years! They try to jump on all offers but end finishing none!

whitbyfox963d ago

1: Get rid of the motion controls.

2: Bring us Okami 3.

Good-Smurf963d ago (Edited 963d ago )

I rather have them show more of Bayonetta 3 first before they talking about any new project.
This reeks Inafune's funding for Red Ash and Mighty No.9 animated series, both never materialized.
