Nearly every generation the grass starter is the weakest and most poorly designed for me.

Bulba and the Sun one seem the expectation.

Then again Grass Pokemon in general seem the worst of all the Pokemon, I can't name one Grass Pokemon I like.

Venusaur is far more viable than Charizard and Blastoise, at least was I am not that up to date though.

I'm sure the other 2 had better stats.

But then look at the designs a dragon and a huge Tortoise with friggin cannons on his back!

Then you look at Venusaur... Who looks like he has had a lobotomy.

The grass pokemon in Sun and Moon is the best though. But Bulbasaur is not only the lamest starting pokemon but one of the lamest period.

Only gen with all around awesome pokemon is 3. Of course I am primarily referring to stat wise, though designs are top notch aswell and all the ones following have not been nearly as impressive
