Mighty No.9 backers still haven’t received their rewards?

Earlier today I (Robin Ek, TGG) was informed that it appears as if some of Mighty No.9´s backers still haven't received their rewards. So here´s my take on the matter (I have reached out to Comcept for a comment on this matter).

xDealtwithIt2698d ago

What a disaster of a game and why i wont personally give my money to any up and coming developer who is begging for our dollars.

TGG_overlord2698d ago

I have never seen anything quite like this happen before...And I´ve worked in the games industry since 2001.

Simon_the_sorcerer2697d ago

This is going down in the history books for sure.

Littil_Devil2697d ago

Can´t the backers sue the MN9 devs for this?

mogwaii2697d ago

Retail at gamestop doesnt count as the industry ;P

Simon_the_sorcerer2697d ago

Then just imagine what that person who paid 10K USD to have a dinner with Keiji Inafune must have felt...

Littil_Devil2697d ago

Someone paid 10,000 USD to have a dinner with Keiji Inafune? Are you for real?!

TGG_overlord2697d ago

I feel very sure for those who did that. I mean, I wouldn´t even pay 100 USD...

Littil_Devil2697d ago

Four million USD, and still the game turned out to be utterly crap.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

"It´s better than nothing" ;)

Simon_the_sorcerer2697d ago

And people wonder why I don´t back games vide crowdfunding anymore...

Littil_Devil2697d ago

I´m done with crowdfunding, at least for now.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

I can´t blame you for doing so...

TGG_overlord2697d ago

The last one that I backed was Shadowrun Returns, I don´t regret doing so though (awesome game that!).

Simon_the_sorcerer2697d ago

I would love to know how many MN9 backers that have been ripped off...Quite a few I bet.

Littil_Devil2697d ago

I think that´s worth looking into. As the backers could hire a lawyer and sue the devs.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

It leans more and more towards that.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

That´s what I´m trying to figure out (I have reached out to the MN9 backers via social media).

Littil_Devil2697d ago

I was very close to back MN9 via Kickstarter, but I changed my mind when I saw all the drama going down at their office.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

Dina Abou Karam made me lose faith in the game.

TGG_overlord2697d ago

@Simon_the_sorcerer "This is going down in the history books for sure."
With no doubt, and their might even be a lawsuit against Comcept as well.

UCForce2697d ago (Edited 2697d ago )

This is why I never trust Inafune. I don't want to say this because it's kind off topic. But I knew he screwed up with Recore. Even I know he was producer, but he literally done something wrong with it. Also, remember he announced Ash Kickstrater back in 2015, he stole people money. The guy is sneaky bastard. I think he deserves a lawsuit.

Disruptor PS1, a pre Goldeneye console FPS from 1996 (with Command and Conquer type FMV cutscenes) and the first game by a pre Spyro Insomniac Studios directed by Mark Cerny. A good game for its time, and pre Bioshock use of telekinesis type powers. A game sadly almost completely lost to time

PrimeVinister25d ago

I have never even heard of it, so that must be a deep cut. Sounds really interesting and I might dig it out :-)

PrimeVinister25d ago

@Cacabunga A classic, no doubt. But, fondly remembered by many.

Cacabunga25d ago

First one was so good but second one on another level!!!
Still hoping to see a next gen version..

PrimeVinister25d ago

@Cacabunga Yeah, I preferred II for the real-timier combat. I would love to see both remade or remastered.

We need to bring back the golden era of ps1 & ps2 .
We need to see quality games developed with alot of passion to make gamers satisfied .
We need to benefit from new AI technology to bring something new to games something like " nemesis systems " that used in shadow of morder and upgrade it to next level

PrimeVinister24d ago

The economics of games has changed a lot since the PS1 and PS2. As much as I would love a return to those days, it's not not at all likely.
