I bought BF1 for $50 and still havent opened the damn game.. Im not buying mainstream titles anymore for at least a year.. Such a rip off

_-EDMIX-_2707d ago

Rip off?

For who?

No one forced you to buy a game you didn't want to open to play. That sounds like your fault bud. I got it day 1 and put 50 hours in no issue. I buy full price when I want to play day 1. If I'm not playing it withing the week of release, I don't buy it full price.

Very, very simple.

I feel ripped off because of how fast the game dropped in price.. Maybe its because im used to getting games that retain their value, but buying a game for a higher price then seeing it drop so quickly feels like a rip off to me.. You dont have to agree but i dont like giving away more cash then i have to.. Anyway like i said, ill be waiting next time before purchasing mainstream titles.. Especially if i dont have time to play the game yet..

@div- value is subjective by the user, also in a free market economy any person could purchase that game and resell it used for a penny, that does not actually have anything to do with its perceived value.

Don't purchase things with the assumption that they're going to stay at the same price to somehow give you some sort of bizarre Ecoboost or gratification of your purchase.

That's one of the strangest things I've read in a very long time if you don't want to pay a high price for games I suggest you don't purchase them within the month or two months of release if you wait at least 3 months or purchase at you you could get it for a different price.

If you don't feel $50 is a value for you right now for a game, it's as simple as purchasing it when you feel like it that has nothing to do with Electronic Arts or the developer or any company for that matter, it has everything to do with user choice, you have free will, you're not a moron (I hope)

If you don't want to pay that price, purchase it used or wait , the choice is completely up to you, that's completely irrelevant to the developer or publisher.

At some point you can't seriously accept or Embrace this blind ignorance that you are the consumer with the money and the choice.

Stop blaming others for your choice and decisions, you chose to spend that money when you did even with the common sense that the damn game will be a different price weeks later or months later no one seriously needed to tell you that.

That's common sense right now someone clearly could sell a copy of The Witcher 3 for 2 bucks that's their choice to sell it for that price that's irrelevant to the perceived value of the game.

You don't think I know I could purchase Battlefield 1 a year from now for 10 bucks used? Of course I know that, but I want to play Battlefield 1 right now...

My choice, just like it's yours. You seriously didn't need me to tell you that games are different prices over time.

I'm not sure how in any respect it would benefit you for 4 years later for the game to be the same price. If you purchase it day 1 what does that do for you four years later? Lol

No.

I don't condone keeping games the same price for people's prophetic EcoBoost....

You didn't know that games get cheaper over time, and that sales happen during the holidays? I used to pay full price now I buy cheap. Witcher complete 29 bucks, mad max 9 bucks, arkham knight 15
Unless you have to play it at release just wait and stop getting ripped off.

In my personal opinion unless a company is illegally lying to you regarding a games content I don't really see games being ripped off in regards to price.

Ripped off in my personal opinion is if something is wrong unbeknownst to you.

We all know the price of games when they launch it is free market knowledge and all companies are pretty transparent regarding that

I only purchased games day 1 that I know I'm highly anticipating and want to play that very day. But for the most part if I'm not going to play a game at least even one week after its release I decided to just wait and purchase it used or wait for a significant price drop simply because if I wasn't going to play it within the week of release I have no reason to spend full price on something that is clearly going to be used cheaper.

Ultimately it's up to the user and based on how much they actually feel like playing a specific game.

So for me I cannot say $60 is a rip-off simply because that varies based on the game. Whether we like a game or not there's somebody out there that has no problem dropping $60 to purchase it.

So it's definitely hard to consider full price on a game something terrible simply because we all have varying desires to purchase or play specific games.

But by all means if money is tight I highly recommend people just wait one to two weeks and purchase used. For real.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing6918d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy8518d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
