The Last Guardian Review | GamePlanet

GamePlanet:
The Last Guardian can be frustrating gameplay-wise, but the connection you'll feel to its beautifully-realised yet intractable companion creature leaves no room in your heart for such concerns. Somehow, this game was worth the wait.

My personal opinion : Do not care about your personal opinion......

Is highly recommend this game........

Saranya2727d ago

It wasn't worth because bad camera , bad AI and bad control. It should be 6/10. What do you think?

Kryptix2727d ago

@Saranya

After reading that you made comments like, "PS3 managed to make a comeback late last gen because....................... ...............Don Mattrick help them."

I don't think...I believe you're just full of it. Which isn't surprising from accounts with no profile pic.

I think The Last Guardian is one of those games that if you really enjoyed PS2 era's exclusives like Shadow of Colossus, Okami, and those stylishly down to earth games, it's definitely a must play.

Regardless, overall, it's a good game as the 9 out of 10s were plenty. Mixed reviews from 7 to 9 means that you're gonna like it or love it. It's a breath of fresh air from today's popular genres & I do enjoy something like this here and there.

Saranya2727d ago

@Kryptix
There's nothing to do with my old comment.

I think The Last Guardian it wasn't worth because bad camera , bad AI and bad control. It should be 6/10 for me. Shadow of Colossus it's better than this.

Blastoise2727d ago

"( in my Personal opinion ) after watching preview on YouTube . "

So you haven't even played it?

Retroman2727d ago

Why should i ?? their are better games to play than a lost boy finding a chimera.

Blastoise2727d ago (Edited 2727d ago )

Why should you play a game before giving it a 4/10 and telling people not to buy it? Lol

Oh you editted your comment

P_Bomb2727d ago (Edited 2727d ago )

"None English speaking kid"? You can barely write it yourself.

Posting end game spoilers in your "review" isn't necessary, thats trolling and where I stopped reading. THANKS @#%*•#e!

btw if you played it yourself and didn't just YouTube, your "rinse repeat" comment after the mirror wouldn't be there because...***SPOILER*** he loses the mirror-shield right quick after that ***SPOILER***

Retroman2727d ago

I posted Spoilers as you said so gamers make their own decision is it worth 64.00 hell NMS was craptastic .
rather inform gamers what its like "Before" buying than wishing someone should said something .

P_Bomb2727d ago

Glad you edited your post but the issue is you didn't even comment on the review in question from gameplanet.com, but rather posted your own article with spoilers no one was expecting, wanting or warned about.

What you should've done is linked to or written your own blog off site. No one came here for your end game spoilers opinion. As a reviewer, that's a cardinal sin. I only just got my copy yesterday. You didn't do me any favours.

Abnor_Mal2727d ago

Seems like thats the basis for any game is to figure out the best way to reach your goal. Not every game needs to be in english, also theres words on the screen so you know what is being said, unless thats a problem for some with limited reading and comphrension skills. I would think that Trico (thats his name) would be able to understand what is being said to him as much as any animal can understand what is being said to it. It's possible that Trico can understand the language being as they're in the same land and it seemed to listen and respond accordingly after awhile, like most animals would. Keep looking at Achievement Hunter vids where they try to tear apart most games by Sony and then score the game a 2 or 4 but never pick up the game and play for yourself.

Abnor_Mal2727d ago (Edited 2727d ago )

Where is the comment that u posted before? Now you've reduced everything you said into one line lol wow.Must of realised how absurd your own statement was when you finally saw all the disagrees and read it back to yourself. "There are better games to play other than a boy and his chimera." Like a boy and his dragon or a girl and her robot dog-thing, I mean, any/many games can be described as such, but that doesnt mean that thats all there is to the game. Anytime a video is watched of other people playing a game would/could seem boring and not worth the wait because possibly the person playing is bad at the game, dont understand the premise of the game or how the controls work, or theres a lot of talking that the narrative of the game is lost on the viewer.

Dark_Knightmare22727d ago (Edited 2727d ago )

Cool for you you watched a 30 min video of a game that isn't the type of game you can grasp the emotions and bond you form with trico and the journey you two go on. Like why do people like you who have no interest in a game come to articles about said games just to tell people who don't give a damn it makes no sense

Liqu1d2727d ago

Your opinion is invalid. Watching 30 minutes on YouTube is not enough to claim the was not worth the wait.

starchild2727d ago

I'm really looking forward to playing it. I absolutely loved ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. They're just very unique and masterfully crafted. There's nothing else quite like them.

Bennibop2727d ago

Am halfway through absolutely adore the game. Can be frustrating at times but still one of my top games of the year maybe of the generation.

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88170d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183169d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie168d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.

The Last Guardian Is One of Gaming’s Most Beautiful Depictions of Friendship

Friendship is hard to depict accurately, but The Last Guardian does a good job of showing all its ups and downs through Trico and the boy.

Technical issues aside, this is easily one of my favorite games from last gen.

ClayRules2012853d ago (Edited 853d ago )

I couldn’t agree more. I’ll never forget the emotional experience I had with this game. After waiting all those years, and than to finally play it. It was a visual beauty, along with offering a story/friendship between the 2 characters that was unique and unforgettable. Far surpassed my expectations. A masterpiece!

Technical issues aside, never have I played anything quite like it!

Magog854d ago

I enjoyed the game but it started out too simple and easy. If the entire game was as intense and challenging as the last 20% it would have been a 10/10 experience.

EvertonFC854d ago

Great game, so underrated. One of my favourites and top 20 games of all time

Phoenix76854d ago

I managed to grab the collectors edition for £40 about a year after it released. Was an enjoyable game, but I had just finished Shadow of the colossus, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was not as good when compared.

Making Sense of Trico: The Last Guardian's Misunderstood Hero

To better understand why The Last Guardian's Trico clicked with some gamers and annoyed others, this article will explore the story behind the beast to see what makes it tick.
