These fighting game series have been sitting out for too long. It's time for them to get a sequel.
to be fair, there were three capcom vs snk titles. 1, Pro & 2 but only one SvC Chaos. If there is a capcom/SNK crossover that needs a new entry it is that one.

The article states Tekken 7 might be the best fighter currently available on Xbox, but leaves out important information that it never takes advantage of the Xbox hardware. It never got any kind of patch/boost/upgrade for the more powerful Xbox consoles, meaning it still runs at 720p I believe, resulting in a very blurry look.
Truly wish more devs would respect their products and customers enough to address issues such as these.
What could've been an unbeatable addition to the Versus franchise ends up being a footnote in why publishers shouldn't leave a project hanging with a meager budget.
It had two-person teams instead of the fan-favored 3, and they charged for Venom as DLC instead of including him in the base game, even though Venom was the most-missed omission from MvC3.
Marvel vs Capcom deserved better than Infinite.
MvC3’s mechanics were too shallow, but at least they tried with the roster (THE most attractive part of the franchise).
If they were smart, they’d go back and do a semi-reboot of MvC2 with a hand-drawn style, and just include Marvel characters.
Avengers vs X-men would be infinitely cooler than anything watered down with old Capcom characters. I don’t need Ryu to fight Iron Man…. We wanna have Hulk fight Iron Man more.
I enjoyed 2v2 way better then 3 on a team. Also, the mechanics on mvci where easy better.
I thought the series went into hibernation. The property rights debacle was an understandable reason. It is a pain in the ass. Old games getting their soundtracks removed, games getting taken off of the store, etc. When they announced infinite I went berserk because I understood the trouble they went through to make that happen. They got hype to 100 and then took a giant dump on it. We didn’t deserve that, mvc didn’t deserve that.
I want a capcom versus game. They have enough characters to do it and the budget and properties aren’t an issue
I more want a Bandai Namco or Square vs Capcom. Or a Project X Zone situation where it's characters from several different publishers.
I don’t really play snk games like that so that doesn’t hype me. I haven’t played the other vs games. I want a straight up 3v3 capcom characters fighter. No guests, no contracts for right holder liberties and chains to someone else’s characters.
That development freedom could be boring for some with just capcom characters but I don’t think it would. I think it would be capcom unleashed and I also believe they have a solid roster with their own properties. In a time when everyone is making their own “rumble verse” with their properties I think it’s time for classic capcom to show them how it’s done.
I like infinite but the roster is terrible. Capcom needs to remake mvsc2 asap
These characters are very popular especially in the tournament scene. It'd be really absurd to cut them, especially when Marvel features a lot of them in their mobile games
Fox owns the MOVIE rights to these characters. That is all. Marvel owns the rights to use the characters in anything else they want. At the end of the day, Marvel still owns the characters.
If they choose not put them in the game it would be because they want to lower popularity of the characters so that Fox's films start to make less money, which would in turn make them stop making more X-Men or Fantastic Four movies. Then the movoe rights would revert back to Marvel after 7 years of Fox not having a movie in production for those characters.
Its how Marvel was able to get the movie rights back for Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider, and Blade.
Marvel has been shafting the Fantastic Four and X-Men for the last couple years with these characters only appearing in mobile games that were released before they started this strategy.
The Fantastic Four don't even have a comic anymore. X-Men have been getting treated so poorly its ridiculous. The current roster in the comics is a sham of what people consider to be the X-Men. They killed off Wolverine and Cyclops, and the Inhumans have basically become the X-Men's replacements. All because Marvel wants them in their movies but can't get them back currently.
Its sad that they are willing to hurt fans like this because of a mistake they made by selling the movie rights back in the late 90's.
I can't decide if selling these fan favorite characters is better than not including them or not. Seems a bit dickish considering they KNOW people want some X-Men characters.
Hell, Cyclops alone is one of the most demanded characters to return since MvC2.
Is there gonna be a complete edition of the game in the future because I want X-Men
Game is not out yet, i.e. still in development, and they are already thinking about DLC "milking"

This is not right if true but knowing capcom it most likely is. I used to be a die hard capcom fan but i really think im not going to support their bulshit ways anymore. I was so pressed to play sf5 and they are milking us with that and its going to continue with all their games.
