I waited for about an hour and a half to demo this at PSX, and I have to say it was worth the wait. The demo felt long enough to justify the wait time. Also the pin of the Farpoint logo was a plus. The tracking felt right on the money while scoping or just firing. The movement was smooth and not a drop of motion sickness. Needless to say I am really looking forward to this game. However I do hope that Farpoint has a decent length campaign and won't follow the footsteps of alot of the current FPS campaigns.

Sounds great man - thanks for the info.

I would love to know the release date.. I am so ready for this and Res Evil.

Neonridr2714d ago

Do you know if the version you were playing at PSX was running on the base PS4 or a Pro unit?

EverydayJoe2714d ago

You know after waiting all that time and the show about to close I didn't event think to ask the demo attendant. I really wanted to hit Ace Combat before the show wrapped up. I have played VR games on both so I would say judging by the clarity of things in the distance it was probably running on Pro.

Neonridr2714d ago

thanks. I have a Pro, so I am not worried either way. This is one game I am really excited about and I really want that Aim Controller.

kraenk122714d ago

How was Ace Combat? We didn't really see much gameplay yet..

EverydayJoe2714d ago

Sadly I didn't make it in time

madmonkey012714d ago

this and RE7 could prove to be the first Big hitters for PSVR

Neonridr2714d ago

yep, both are on my must have list no doubt.

gbsrnctaln2714d ago

This is the first game that might make me go ahead and get psvr gen 1. Been planning on waiting for gen 2 for better rez and hopefully cordless, but this game looks like it might be that 1st killer app.

kraenk122714d ago

I wouldn't expect cordless very soon though. Battery weight, recharge time, cost and latency are all factors to consider.

gbsrnctaln2714d ago

Yeah, cordless isnt a deal breaker. Improved rez would be nice, as well as ironing out any other kinks that it may have.

I can finally play Half Life Alyx.

mariopasta53d ago

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts52d ago

be careful not to sprain your... tongue pronouncing those pronouns

Profchaos52d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts52d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
